Luxury 4 Bedroom Oceanview Villa w/breathtaking views : Gated Resort Community!

Welcome to 'Villa Dulce Vida' located in the gated resort community of CoCo Bay Estates. This brand new home offers a spacious open floor plan with plenty of indoor/outdoor living space for you and your party to live Pura Vida.
This three-level home boasts an elevator, infinity pool, entertainment system, AC throughout and kitchen well equipped to whip up a gourmet meal or let us hire you a private chef. There are four oceanview bedrooms each with their own ensuite bathroom, balcony and flat panel TVs. Plenty of space to allow everyone their privacy when desired or spend time connecting as you enjoy the lovely surroundings. This home will surely please the most discriminating traveler.

While staying at Villa Dulce Vida you'll be able to enjoy amenities at The Club at CoCo Bay including; fitness center, restaurant, pool, tennis and pickleball courts. Please note that although you can technically walk to the beach our home is built into the side of the mountain, so the walk is steep. Driving is recommended.

This place was epic! Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful, the house was incredible and the view was amazing. This is one of those rare occasions, where pictures do not do justice to the property.

This is a hard one. The house is very nice. Terrific views. Alex, the house manager, is a Champion and VERY attentive. The Coco Bay Club very nice. All positives. But the pool barely gets sun and was cold. For 13 days, no one got in. That should be disclosed up front, and isn't. Those alone would reduce rate to a 4 of 5. But while there, the elevator broke. Couldn't be fixed (had to get a part) for 4 days. Out of 13. Those things happen, but when they do a proper response needs to take place. I had 66 - 74 year olds, some with bad parts, going up and down 40-50 stairs multiple times a day unexpectedly. Ownership waived a cleaning fee as compensation!! When I brought up that I thought that was a little inadequate--and we all LOVE begging, don't we--the response was to tell me what a great deal I was getting (the owner stated that my cost per night was the 'rate of a hotel room, and I was getting a house'. And the price she quoted was actually half of what I was paying!!). Ownership's response implied that I should just be grateful and shut up (and where that half price number came from is anybody's guess). To me, the proper response would have been "Oh my God, Ill credit you 2 days.. We are so so sorry". Ultimately, I received a credit that equaled 1/4 of one day. So if all goes well, you'll be fine. If not, don't expect real satisfaction.

An absolutely wonderful home. It is in a gated community with security making rounds every 30 minutes. The views speak for themselves. Every aspect of the home exceeded our expectations. The kitchen, the pool, the bedrooms, the AC.... etc, etc etc. Everything was perfect. The property manager, Alex, was by far the best manager that we have ever dealt with (and we travel using VRBO quite a bit). He was quick to respond to every question/concern that we had. We had one small issue with water pressure in the guest room- Alex had it fixed within hours. The community club house/ pool/pickleball courts/ workout facility and restaurant were wonderful. I can not recommend the home, the community or Coco Beach any higher- 5 star across the board.

Our stay at your beautiful villa was absolutely amazing! Alex was a fantastic host—communicative, attentive, and always making sure we knew he was available if we needed anything. His wife Gabby prepared a wonderful dinner and breakfast for us, and her sweet, fun personality added so much to the charm of the home and our experience. The house itself was stunning, even more beautiful than the photos, and our friends and family have been blown away by the pictures we’ve shared. Truly an unforgettable stay!

Absolutely amazing!

We knew this place would be amazing based on the pictures, but honestly, they don't do it justice. This home is absolutely beautiful. Between the views and the fully stocked home, the owner's truly thought of everything. Also, the house manager, Alex was extremely friendly and very helpful. While the home is not walkable to a beach, everyday we spent the morning in the pool, then visited one of the many beaches in the area (ranging from 8 mins-1hr drive), then came back in the evening to grill and take in the views. Thank you so much for having us. You made our vacation a 10 out of 10.

In the clouds

A luxury escape for the whole family. Sandy's house was perfect for our week with two adult children. We all had plenty of space while working ' from home'. The proximity to amenities allowed us to enjoy the pool, access to the gym, pickleball, beach and town. Alex, the property manager, was the icing on the cake. His prompt and courteous attention to any request made the week seamless. We already miss the incredible views

10 Days in Playas Del Coco

Beautiful property sitting high above Coco Bay.This VRBO is one of the nicest and best outfitted house rentals we have stayed in as a family. Plenty of kitchen space with a million dollar view out across the infinity pool toward the water! Ample bedroom space for 3 couples each with its own bathroom and shower. Gas grill outside for additional cooking options. Beach towels and bedding provided. About 1.5 hours drive to jungle tours, whitewater rafting, coffee plantations, and Zip lines. Only downside is have to drive 1/2 mile down to the resort restaurant, pickleball courts, and pool because of the steep roads. US based Host and nearby property manager had great connections for tours and adventures. 9 out of 10 for a family trip.

As Advertised, but ...

Gerry and Alex were exceptionally gracious and responsive, promptly addressing all questions/requests. Property as advertised and met expectations. However, I must highlight misleading aspects of the listing.Description states Coco Beach and El Coco Casino are a 4- and 6-minute walk respectively—this is entirely inaccurate. Alex was upfront about steep inclines and high temps making the walk challenging, but we expected it to be manageable. Being a fit and active family, we decided to assess upon arrival. Despite the listing’s claim of “mere minutes,” my son and DIL attempted the walk from Coco Beach, which took 24 min. We hired a ride every time afterward. Do not rely on stated walkability.Two Disappointments:1. Catamaran Excursion Cancellation
. We pre-booked all excursions through Alex. On day of scheduled Catamaran trip, 1:15 PM pickup never arrived. Unbeknownst to us, Alex canceled the reservation, assuming we were no longer interested after my younger son inquired about a ride to Playa Hermosa, which he ultimately declined. Unfortunately, this miscommunication led to the cancellation. We wish Alex had confirmed with us before cancelling. He apologized profusely.2. Diamante Price Issue
. Before arrival, we booked this trip through Alex, who assured paying cash 118/per avoids additional costs. At the park we learned price increased to 125/per, PLUS 13% tax. Instead of 708 for 6, we paid 847.50. Frustrating, yet I feel Alex/Gerry wear many hats and do their best!

Does time visitors

We chose the area for proximity to activities and by chance chose villa dulce Vida. We couldn’t have been happier with the house, staff, driver and the many excursions they recommended. Flexibility to change our itinerary made the vacation so much easier. Highly recommend if you’re planning a family or friend stay near coco beach.

Villa Dulce Vida

The villa is located in the Coco Bay Estates development and positioned above Playa del Coco with a good bay view. The photos of VIlla Dulce Vida are accurate with respect to the design and finish and the villa was spotless when we arrived. There was a large load of bed sheets, towels, and pillowcases in the dryer that required folding. The kitchen is pretty well-stocked with cooking essentials but the fire sticks for lighting the grill were not functional. The black quartz countertops look great but show every crumb, grain of salt, water spot, etc requiring a lot of constant cleaning if you cook in the villa. There was no problem with mosquitos for our visit, but GIANT grasshoppers were a problem. Both raccoons and grey foxes were seen outside at night and Howler monkeys were heard, but not seen. The town is quite small, sleepy, and not a lot to choose from when it comes to restaurants (the Italian restaurant was quite good). Auto Mercado was an excellent grocery store (as was New Super China, but only for essentials). The restaurant (Sugoi) was average to good with a limited wine list. The associated beach club was quite small, minimaly staffed, and serves no cocktails. The nearest beaches are vocanic (black sand) and not particularly attractive. We enjoyed the week we spent at Dulce Vida but will likely not return to the town of Playa Coco in favor of other areas of Costa Rica.

Magnificent view!

My friends and I gathered to celebrate our big birthday. It was perfect villa with magnificent view of the Coco bay from every rooms. Having a car is necessary at this villa. It's short drive down to the club and to grocery store to get necessary goods, as well as to the Coco town for lunch and dinners.

Beautiful House with amazing views

Overall, we had a fantastic time at this beautiful house with amazing views. However, there were a few drawbacks. The icemaker did not work, air in the water line in the apartment which made loud noises. You definitely cannot walk through this community due to the steep hills, so you will either need to rent a car or be prepared to pay for private transportation (least amount paid was 40 per roundtrip). We communicated with the property managers Gerry and Alex about hiring the local cook months in advance and sent several follow up communication with confirmation and the morning of our trip I received a message indicating that the cook was ill and no other replacement in their network was available. This was very disappointing to say the least. Another specific request for a birthday cake was not fulfilled as requested, so there were some disappointments with the Villa managers.

Two weeks of R&R

The property is an easy barely 30 drive from the airport & car rental in a gated community. When you first drive in, there's a clubhouse for owners & guests of the property with private pool. My husband and kids used he gym there each day too. There's also a fabulous restaurant there that we ate lunch at and many dinners at. Great service from the friendly staff! This property was one of the highest on the mountain in this community.It's an enormous property, jungle, with lush trees and when we reached the home we had gorgeous views of Coco Bay.I started each day in the infinity pool which we all loved.We bonded, rested, laid out, grilled one night and watched movies on the large tv in the family room during rain showers. We were able to easily drive to nearby zip lining and horse back riding, a handful of amazing restaurants of dinners-our favorite was Mar Azul.We drove to different beaches on three different days-peaceful and beautiful. Our house manager Gerry went above and beyond to help us with any questions and concerns we had about our day trips. He even offered to set up tours for us. We felt safe, could reach him at anytime and our host Sandy.The home is very large, spacious and my mom, husband, 16, 18 and 20 year old loved the views from all the rooms and starting each day together over breakfast. It's decorated beautifully & we loved being able to use the washing machine/dryer. The kitchen has everything you need too. Thank you dear Gerry,Sandy&Alex-Pura Vida

Villa Dulce Vida

We vacationed at Villa Dulce Vida with 8 adults. Everything from the booking, planning and duration of the visit was perfect. Alex assisted with planning all excursions prior to arriving and presented an itinerary that included every activity we desired. Once we arrived at the house we were greeted by Gerry, who ensured every activity was perfectly executed. We appreciated Gerrys input and responsiveness to all our needs and requests. He really made the stay special. I completely recommend booking this villa for a relaxing accommodation, breath taking views and the most friendly people. Pura Vida!

Property was great with awesome kitchen supplies and appliances. Beautiful view and hang out areas. Just want to let others know that this is not a property within walking distance to anything - you need a car to get anywhere- even pickleball and tennis courts.

Excellent property and experience

This house is exceptional and so is Alex, the property manager; Ofelia the cook that we used for most dinners and the private chef, Paolo, that we splurged on for the last night. I’d highly recommend to anyone else coming to Costa Rica.

Fantastic Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time at the villa. Very spacious rooms, unique design and absolutely killer views. It absolutely necessary to have at least one car (depending on how many are in your party) to run down the hill for shopping, restaurants, the Club or visit nearby beaches. The weather was perfect, the villa gets nice breezes and the patio is in the shade most of the day. Nearby favorite beaches for us were Playa Hermosa and Playa Ocotal. We also enjoyed a Trimaran cruise (arranged by house manager Alex) with snorkeling. Our college age kids did a group day trip to the Rincon Volcano area with activities at a resort there and loved it! This was our 2nd time in Costa Rica and we will definitely be coming back.
