“Highlands is a gorgeous property. They have more luxurious rooms on one side of the road with the restaurant. We stayed other side of the road at the Village at the highlands. Simple but well appointed. Great for our 1 night stay. A few minutes drive to Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park. The restaurant was 5 star. Delicious, make a reservation. Staff was awesome.”

“Our group had an excellent stay! Everything was just as described. We enjoyed the hammocks in the backyard, the large selection of games and puzzles, the variety of room setups, and if we hadn’t been so tired from our travels, I’m sure the fire pit was amazing! If you have a baby that is mobile, the stairs are a bit treacherous. I wish we had brought a baby gate but didn’t expect one to be provided. Would definitely stay again!”

“We were definitely impressed by this new cabin in butte meadows. It is close to the creek for swimming and fishing. Also the local bar and the mercantile is just a rock throw away from this cabin. It was me and my wife and two kids 7 and 3 years old. They had their own twin over full bunk bed which they were really excited about. They loved watching the squirrels and birds outside from the bedroom window in the morning. This cabin is newly built and everything is really nice inside and out....

“The property was very clean and well provisioned, and kitchen and bath were spotless. Wine chiller, mixer, icemaker in frig. Cutlery, and service for 4. Towel heater in bath and European toilet made for pleasant experience. Modern and up-to-date with touch screen controls for lights, shades, and viewing. Charging stations by bed. Cozy and comfortable. Plenty of seating, pillows, blankets. Host readily available, friendly and helpful. Asked for extra towels and no hesitation providing them....

“The area is beautiful, very quiet and far from the hustle and bustle. Only a few miles from the park entrance and surrounded by nature. The accommodations were wonderful, easy in and out, well appointed kitchen, the large room upstairs was spread out and great for us, the kids and mother in law. Host’s reached out to make sure we didn’t need anything. All around great experience.”

“This house was an incredible find. My kids absolutely loved staying in the upstairs rooms. Check in was a breeze! The hot tub was a huge hit for the whole family. I was also glad to see they had toys for babies because i completely forgot to bring the ones i had packed for my little guy. It was so much fun grilling out on the deck while the kids played in the hot tub. The central a/c workes way too good! We will absolutely be coming back! And there is a beautiful beach just a short drive down...

“Nice and cozy older home located between Mt. Lassen and Lake Almanor. Good quiet place with spacious bedrooms. It's an older home so don't expect anything fancy, but it has all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. Owner was very nice a helpful. We'll definitely be returning in the future.”

“Beautiful home! And the view was incredible! We could see the lake and a great shot of Mt. Lassen. The loft was filled with toys and games and kept our 2 and 3 year-olds very occupied. We took the kayaks out one day and had a blast! Definitely will plan another stay :)”
