Valley View Escape började som en vision att återställa en 130+ år gammal bondgård. År efter färdigställandet och åtnjutits av vänner och familj, var det uppenbart att detta värdefulla historiska hem behövde delas och åtnjutas av andra. Huset ligger på en kulle omgiven av en 500 hektar stor bondgård med utsikt över dalen medan avlägsna bergskedjor ger en lugn bakgrund. Wrap-around veranda med fina utsikt är idylliska för kaffeälskare, conversationalist, bok älskare och perfekt för ett spel av checkers. Inuti hittar du mycket av hemmet med ursprungliga golv och väggar. De ursprungliga två trapporna är fortfarande funktionella och lägger till karaktär och charm. Nedre våningen består av sovrummet öppning till en skärmad i veranda, 1 ½ badrum, kök, matplats och hall med trappa, vardagsrum med öppen spis och extra matplats. På övervåningen består av badrum, 2 sovrum och 1 stort rum med 3 sängar. Spredt i hela fastigheten hittar du pittoreska rustika byggnader och gammal lantbruksutrustning som lägger till det historiska temat tillsammans med den perfekta miljön för ett lägereld och smores. Du kommer att hitta mycket aktivitet inom 20 miles eller du kan hitta dig själv perfekt innehåll njuta av fängslande utsikten från verandaen. Great Home for Relaxation

To me, the old fashioned feel of the house created a coziness that our family needed. Although all the modern conveniences are available, the seclusion of the property provided the respite from the fast paced modern world we all live in. It provides the framework for a very relaxing stay, no matter what you are looking for.

Family Reunion

This property is amazing! We were welcomed with fresh eggs for breakfast and homemade cinnamon rolls from the Owners of the property. Peaceful, everything you expect to see at a farmhouse and more. From the beautifully decorated entrance and throughout the property such attention to detail . There were touches of fall throughout the home. The view was amazing and we loved watching the cattle and the donkeys. We were able to visit with extended family by enjoying s'mores out by the campfire. Absolutely room for everyone. We were in town for a family reunion nearby, so the location was perfect. We are already planning next years trip! Can't wait to go back!!!! Our hope is to stay longer. Once you are there you will definitely not want to leave.

Absolutely beautiful historical home! I enjoyed reading the Open Bible, and how it was written and all the helpful info for learning. Loved sitting in the porch!!! (just wish the stray dogs did not come up on the porch…..perhaps, a gate across both steps onto porch would be helpful) The view in the valley to the mountain range and the sunrise and sunset…..WOW! God’s creation is absolutely beautiful!

Wonderful!

We absolutely loved staying here! The home is beautiful and spacious enough to fit our large family comfortably. The kids loved seeing the donkeys and especially loved the “moo moos”. The host was very responsive to our messages and easy to communicate with.

Beautiful house that met our needs

It was a wonderful weekend as our son was married at Dry Creek Chapel that Saturday night. We mainly only slept there, but it met our needs as a couple of my son's groomsmen stayed with us Friday night and a couple of family members from out of state stayed on Saturday night. I hope we can come back when we can stay longer and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Family vacation to visit relatives

This was a beautiful property. It was exactly like the pictures showed. We had plenty of room for our entire family. We loved the cinnamon rolls and note from our hosts that were waiting for us when we arrived. The front porch view is stunning. My grandkids loved seeing the cows an donkeys. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Farmhouse Stay

My family and I had an awesome stay at the Valley View Escape Farmhouse. It was fully decorated for Christmas including a beautiful Christmas tree. The house is extremely spacious with more than enough beds and room for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We had a light snow our first night there and it was enjoyed by this Florida family. The temperatures outside were cold but it was warm and comfortable inside (central heat & air). We enjoyed many nights out by the fire cooking hotdogs and s'mores. One of the favorite activities for our family was interacting with the cows and donkeys. We loved feeding them sliced apples and carrots from our hands. A highlight of our stay was a baby calf being born just a short distance behind the house (we named him Smokey). The house is secluded with many acres to hike and explore. Most things needed like food, shopping and gas are just a short drive away. I can't imagine a better Christmas family vacation. We can't thank Belinda and the Barksdale's enough for the use of their farm. Belinda was a perfect host and was always available if we had a question. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation rental, then the Valley View Escape Farmhouse is the perfect choice.

A true blessing

Our third visit and not last visit!

Our whole family absolutely loves this house. It is so beautiful and quiet, very peaceful. Kids loved the donkeys and other animals, lots of nature and woods around for them to explore. Very friendly hosts with good communication and delicious cinnamon rolls at arrival. Used the grill at the back of the house this time and the outdoor fire pit every night, great memories for the kids. Definitely will be back!

Magical Getaway

Valley View Escape is a beautiful property! The home is roomy for a large group yet cozy like being home, and the host is so thoughtful. We had a yummy breakfast to enjoy for the weekend waiting for us when we arrived. The host also left us a lovely greeting on a notecard depicting the same birds that can be seen around the property. Even though we stayed during a weekend when the temps were really cold, we couldn’t resist wrapping up and enjoying the country views from the wraparound porch. Our group had such a lovely time at Valley View Escape, we are already planning another weekend visit in the Spring. The home is really special and a great place to relax with your loved ones.
