Nice central hotel
Very good hotel in the centre of Cologne. Walking distance to shops, the river and other sights. Comfortable beds with high quality bed sheets and modern decor. The pool was also very nice. We will stay here again for sure. Hotel also dog friendly.

Perfect location and good price
Great location close to Haumarkt where you can take the subway or just walk to the city center. Friendly staff and nice and clean with a large pool. Breakfast was very expensive.

Very good location and just across the museum. Staff were very helpful. Only issue we had is the air conditioning as we had to open our windows during the evening to be able to sleep. It was spring so maybe they had to control the temperature.

It was a nice property, but be aware there is no elevator. Also, the room was extremely hot when I arrived. I turned the AC to the highest level but it had little effect. The windows do not open. Due to the heat I had a very restless sleep.

Expecting a comfortable and hassle-free experience, especially given the high cost of the stay, I was profoundly disappointed by several critical issues, most notably the absence of hot water on my last day. This was not just an inconvenience but a significant oversight, as it directly impacted my comfort and readiness for a long-haul flight to Toronto. The lack of a basic amenity like hot water, especially in a leading hotel situated in a developed and bustling city center, is unacceptable. It suggests a severe lapse in the hotel’s maintenance and contingency planning for essential services. Additionally, the situation was exacerbated by what I perceived as a lack of empathy and effective response from the customer service team, leaving me feeling disregarded and undervalued as a guest. Such experiences not only tarnish the reputation of your establishment but also discourage loyal customers from considering your hotel for future stays. It is distressing to see that despite the high costs associated with staying at your hotel, the basic expectations of comfort and service are not met. I am compelled to share my experience with others, highlighting the need for significant improvements in both infrastructure and customer service at your hotel. Ringede til dem et par gange, hvor man blev mødt af en ubehøvlet medarbejder. Heldigvis havde han en kollega dee tig over. Der er ikke meget fleksibilitet fra hotellet. Værelset hvor vi var på - var meget lydt, kunne tydeligt høre, når folk kom hjem fra byen. Morgenmaden var Ok, men synes ikke at det levede op til de stjerner hotellet har på facaden. Beliggenheden var god og rummene rummene havde en fin størrelse.

Have stayed previously at the Lyskirchen and really enjoyable short stay this time. Accommodation ready on arrival and offered excellent room. Very comfortable and clean and staff very welcoming and helpful. This is now a default place to stay when visiting family (including newly born grandson!) in Cologne.

Zentral gelegenes Hotel, von dem aus viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in Köln fußläufig erreichbar sind. Für Autofahrer bestechend ist die hoteleigene Tiefgarage. Sie ist zwar nicht billig, aber das Auto ist während des Aufenthalts an einem sicheren Ort, und das lästige Parkplatzsuchen entfällt.

Das Hotel liegt etwa 15 Minuten vom Dom entfernt, gleich neben dem Schokoladenmuseum und der chicken Hafenanlage. Das Frühstück ist wunderbar und das Hallenbad ist ok, wenn auch das Wasser etwas kalt war.

Hotel was nice and clean, very well located for old town and Christmas markets. Unfortunately, staff were not very helpful overall.
