âWe had a change of plans for our road trip and found this delightful B and B at the last minute. We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages. âHighly recommend staying here with its central location in the downtown and nearby hiking and adventure sites. The room is fine for a couple, but somewhat long and narrow. The AC cooled the room well and was not in the bedroom which kept the noise down. Bed was comfortable. Strangely the front desk staff had a pattern of being distant or grumpy, but not that important an issue. Overall, this was a perfect place to stay after a late night concert at Ironstone in Murphys.â
âMe and my husband stayed in a cottage for two during one night on our way to Yosemite National Park. We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel (despite GPS) as the sign to Lazy Z was located directly in the left-turn. Placing the sign earlier on the road would have been appreciated. The cottage was really cosy and clean. We had our own patio with a barbecue. The wi-fi did not reach our cottage, but we could access it from the main/pool area. The pool was really nice and the main area also...
âJamestown is small, basically one street, but cute and very close to bigger Sonora. We stayed here on our way to San Francisco from Yosemite and didn't expect much. We were pleasantly surprised and had an excellent stay. We had booked a room but as the hotel wasn't full we were upgraded to one of its comfortable and well equipped cottages. Would definitely stay here again.â
