"The Little Grey House"

The Little Grey House found in Columbus GA is waiting for you! It is a cozy, ranch style home eagerly anticipating to transport you to the epicenter of comfort. As a Wind Turbine Technician, I am constantly on the road looking for a temporary, yet comfortable place to call home. With the help of my co-host, we have managed to combine luxury and comfort. The Little Grey House will be your home away from home.
The Little Grey House is a 4-bedroom 2 bath home. Every room has a Samsung crystal HD television that is equipped with all streaming services including premium cable. I also offer complimentary Wi-Fi and printing. If you forget some of your toiletries, don’t fret, we have complimentary toiletries, ready to use at your disposal. Our state-of-the-art kitchen has an electric 4 burner stove, Samsung refrigerator and an assortment of dinnerware and utensils. I offer an assortment of Complimentary Coffee and Complimentary bottled water but if you want something more adult to drink, I offer complimentary wine as well. In the south we love our barbeque, if you consider yourself a pit master try our Traeger Grill/Smoker on my back-patio deck. If you need food to cook that perfect dinner while your staying at The Little Grey House, there are many grocery stores nearby.
One thing that I do not like is being bored on vacation and sometimes I just do not want to go out. If you find yourself feeling this way, try a game of corn hole on the back-patio deck. If you would like to binge your favorite show or watch the big game, enjoy our 85-inch television with Morgan Logan surround sound. We also offer Billiards, Ping Pong and many Table-Top Games. However, if you want to go out and have some fun, The Little Grey House is positioned in a geographical sweet spot. Our location will allow you to reach all sorts of fun and interesting entertainment.
During the pandemic I was constantly worried about the cleanliness of the places I stayed. Even in hotels. In The Little Grey House there is no need to worry. I use hypoallergenic filters that helps decrease the spread of viruses. After every guest stay, a professional cleaning service thoroughly cleans the entire home using Covid-19 protocols.

Overall this was a great option for a long stay. When i first got to the neighborhood, I was a little concerned but it turned out to be a very good area. Lots of options for restaurants and activities, kind of a centralized location. The host was great to work with and responded fairly quickly. Plenty of space in the house as well as outside. I got the best sleep in a long time in the room I stayed in. Well definitely return on the future.

Memorial weekend cookout

The property is a little gem. I live in Midland so I rented the property to accommodate the overflow from my house. Their stay was short but everyone were more than happy about the accommodations. My memorial weekend cookout is an annual thing and the little grey house is gonna play a more integral part in the future.

Weekend stay for turning green ceremony at Fort Benning

I was aware of location as I read other reviews so that was not a problem. The layout of home was great as our soldier had a private room to call friends from home etc. Having the ping pong table was the selling point for me as we love to play and it was a great thing for the 5 of us to do. What was not disclosed with the fact that the dishwasher, washer and dryer were ALL NOT working! I really wanted to have our soldier’s clothing and uniform washed before the weekend was over. I also did not want to do dishes all weekend!! (Mother’s Day….)All in all we had a nice time. It could have been cleaner, some fresh ping pong balls and paddles would be good but, make sure the three appliances are working if that is important to you!

Cozy home

Our family of 7 enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and cozy. Little gray house has everything you need for cooking, dishes, extra stuff in the bathrooms if you forgot something, nice huge TV. We loved playing pool and paddle ball. The deck and yard was nice for my grandson and all of us to hang out on. We grilled. Communication was fantastic. Overall we would definitely stay here again. We had a great.time.

The Little Gray House

It was perfect for my son’s Turning Blue. 4 of us stayed at the house and it was perfect to have a main bedroom with an en suite. After the ceremonies it was great to have everyone back over to play pool, sit outside around the fire pit & just spend time together. Not a stuffy house at all… just very comfortable… Not too far from base. The neighborhood wasn’t the best but that wasn’t a problem at all. I would stay here again. If I could post some fun pictures I would.

The house was very clean with plenty of room to stretch out. Everything we needed for family meals was onsite and we were 20 minutes from Ft Moore. Great communication on how to get in and around during our stay.

The owner has a lot of high-tech features, with thoughtful complimentary toiletries that you may have forgotten. The bathrobes were especially nice. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Perfect!

We use VRBO quite a lot and this wa easily the most well appointed home! It was so clean and had everything you could think of! The space was just great and super comfortable beds. We were celebrating our soldier's BCT graduation and it was close enough for him to stay the day and far enough for him to relax. We LOVED it

Home feeling for my soldier

My nephew had his family pass weekend and he wanted to feel at home with everyone there together. More importantly he wanted a home cooked meal. This place helped us make his weekend great. There were pros and cons as with every place you stay. Pros: looked as the pictures looked online. Property host answered all questions. 2 driveways which was very needed 25th 3 vehicles. Cons: could be considered a scary location. But honestly where i live there's a part of town that's scarier so no one in my family was worried. All in all i would hesitate to stay again.

Great House

We traveled to Columbus, Georgia, for our grandson’s graduation from Basic Training. This house was located near Fort Moore and there were some good restaurants nearby. It is also close to good shopping areas. We were able to have a nice weekend with our grandson and the house was perfect. Very clean and had everything we needed.

Columbus Little Grey House

This house was very well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated the extra toiletries that were left for our use if needed. The neighborhood is not the greatest, but seems fairly standard for the surrounding area. This area is red on the crime map which I discovered after booking it and after my cancelation window was closed. Dewayne tried to charge me more for extra guests when I asked if I would have enough towels and washcloths for 5 people even though the house is advertised to sleep 11 people. There is nothing that says there is an extra charge over a certain amount of people. I told him this, he was rude. Then he came back and said the vrbo policy is new to them too and he’d waive the fee. It was almost like his wife or someone else came back and responded to me saying they’d waive the fee because it was polar opposite from how he had been communicating with me. I also messaged him the night before our departure to ask about check out procedures and received nothing back until the day after we departed. My daughter found some food under her bed and there was a chewed sunflower seed on the bottom bunk bed comforter. All in all, the house had everything we needed. The towels were plentiful and smelled good, the beds were soft. We appreciated the robes.

Infantry Graduation

It was fantastic!! Everything was perfect- the little details were brilliant! Form the fire pit surrounded by chairs to the bedrooms that were decorated with such love and detail!! A wonderful break from the busy!!
