Lovely Farm Stay
This was our first farm stay, and it was fun! I felt right at home since I grew up in the country. We all enjoyed the cows, the dog, and--most of all--the frogs in the pond! It was nice and quiet but not a bad drive into town for lots of food options. The house itself is super cute. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Lots of room upstairs for the kids to hang out. Great old trees and a porch swing. Internet was spotty at times but that comes with the territory. We'd definitely recommend and would stay again!

Absolutely Amazing
This property is perfect. The setting is wonderful and the home is great. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was fairly cold when we visited and the house stayed warm. The home even came with a cute dog that liked to hangout. I would highly recommend this property.

Glorious Respite

Loved this house!
My family loved this house and town!!! The house is darling!! Perfect farmhouse decor! We loved having the cows so close, enjoyed the porch swing, fire pit, the frogs jumping in the pond, cornhole, and the peaceful days spent together! We explored Burgess Falls and Cummins Falls, which were not too far of a drive. We loved exploring town! We tried Ralph’s Donuts, Cream City Ice Cream, Bobby Q’s, the boutiques, the murals, & Cookeville Train Depot!! We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely
This property was just lovely. The home is nestled on a lovely farm and lovingly decorated and well appointed. Easy drive into cookeville and all it has to offer. Also a great place to relax and enjoy the quiet. I have been disappointed in my most recent VRBO stays and have not taken the time to leave a review. This one is worthy of all the good things that can be said about it. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Charming farm house
We so enjoyed this lovely house. I especially loved the nights out at the fire pit. Stars were amazing. We hiked a lot and this property was central to a lot of the trails.

Nice Weekend Getaway
My family loved our farm experience! My children loved being able to climb a ladder to get to their bedroom. Everything was so clean and the owner was super fast at responding to any questions I had. We also loved the farm dogs, Red and Duke! We felt very protected. It was a really cool experience.

Relaxing!
We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse! We loved hearing the cows calling to each other - and we especially loved the two dogs that practically adopted us - Red was hilarious! It was very quiet and we got some much needed rest and sleep. The antique floor fan in the downstairs bedroom could probably be rewired- when we went to plug it in - sparks flew out of the cord. So we didn’t use it. We wished we could have stayed longer ! We took lots of photos and as a professional photographer this rental was a dream come true for some inspiration!

Little slice of Heaven
We loved everything about our stay- the pictures don’t do this place justice. Anna was wonderful and easy to work with. We loved sipping coffee next to the cows in the morning, exploring the beautiful property during the day, and hunting for shooting stars at night. We will most definitely be back!

Adorable little farm house
Property is just as listed, adorable little farmhouse. We walked the property, took the pup for a swim in the larger lake, and enjoyed the peacefulness. There was quite a bit of farm traffic which we didn’t mind, we actually stopped and talked to some of the locals for recommendations.

Away from the city and quiet
This place was beyond adorable! From the rustic decor to the clawfoot tub which I loved, loved ! We stayed for just a long weekend but will be back soon for a longer stay.

Dream Cabin in Tenn
My wife and I stayed at the cabin will on a getaway. The cabin is an amazing restoration. It is cozy but spacious. The ice machine was an extra bonus. Sunset from the porch were amazing and the ranch dog was always around in the morning to greet us. The cabin is also close to many of the amazing parks an waterfalls. The town is only a few minutes away for supplies. I highly recommend the cabin for a weekend getway.

Great Place.
House was very clean. Loved the rustic wood inside, Hardwood floors very nice. Loved the claw foot tub. TV worked well. Our devices connected automatically to the WiFi modem, but no internet access was there. Not really a problem for us, but owner may want to correct before next guest. Nice quiet setting. Occasional sounds from farm activities, two lovely very friendly dogs. Would stay here again.

Wonderful property!
As a writer, this was the perfect property to work on my current project. It's a beautiful home that met every expectation. Out in the 'country' and at the same time about 10 minutes from Cookeville, a bustling college town with every amenity. The owner and I had text communication, but this was the first time I've rented a Homeaway property without being welcomed upon arrival or meeting the owner /manager during the length of my stay. The aforementioned isn't a complaint, just a comment. I'd definitely stay at this property again!

I can’t sing enough praises!!
I felt like I was on a movie set. I wish I could share my pictures! What a lovely, beautiful house and property. The same adjectives describe the hospitality from the owners. All of your needs are provided from a washer and dryer, lovely towels, dishes, and a fire pit. The pictures don’t do this place justice - with all of the animals and the sunset, it really was unreal! Highly recommended. It was the highlight of our trip. They mention that it is a working farm but everyone is so polite and say hello. I wish We could live here! Thanks again!

Excellent retreat to recharge batteries!!!
This property is a hidden gem if you are in the mood to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. My wife, daughter, and I had an awesome time in in this working farm in Cookeville TN. Again be prepared since you will be in an actual working farm with farm workers, cows, goats, and a dog that our daughter named “Ginger” going about their business. We were extremely happy to give this experience to our 4 year old daughter. She truly had a blast. We highly recommend this property!!!

Beautiful farmhouse with fireplace!
This farmhouse is absolutely beautiful. We fell in love as soon as we walked through the door! We stayed just one night on our way back home from vacation. Sitting in front of the fireplace all evening was the perfect way to cap it off. The farmhouse is so rustic and cozy! We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future! Perfect Getaway!!
We have been to Cookeville many times and this is our favorite place so far! We wanted to stay in a special place for my son's birthday. We all loved it!! Anna was great to work with and quick to respond to any questions. We loved the open floor plan of the kitchen and living room. My husband and I took the bedroom downstairs. Our two adult children and their friend slept upstairs. Two slept in the bed, one on a cot. The beds sleep four. Super clean and comfy!! There are multiple cots to use but they are very basic. So, if using a cot, I recommend bringing bedding for it. We took a twin feather bed to layer with sheets, etc. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, utensils, salt/pepper, coffee pot, French press, tea kettle. If you plan on cooking, bring groceries, spices, extra paper towels. The light over the sink is near the sink. The light over the bar is controlled by a switch in the bar to the right of the dishwasher. The lamp in the downstairs bedroom is controlled by switch on wall. This and other instructions are on a sheet by the back door. There is a gravel road that runs between the house and the barn (with wood on porch). The barn faces this road. Parking is right before this barn on your left. The highlight of our stay was the area around the house, the farm with all the animals and the view! Cows, donkey, Shetland pony, goats, and sheep dog were fun to watch. Made me want to move there. We spent part of Saturday hiking Black Mountain Crest Loop Trail and Ozone Falls. Later that night, we enjoyed a campfire. The owners supplied the wood. They also had skewers on the back porch, so bring your marshmallows! Definitely a unique place with a lot of history. Would stay again! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Gorgeous, Remote, away from it all
What a beautiful cabin. It was a great nights sleep, located just a quick drive to Cummins Falls State Park where we did the hike to the falls. I would highly recommend. Clean, well appointed, and overall an A+ place to stay!

Quiet, charming, comfortable & spacious!
Oh man...where do I even begin? The house itself is clean, very comfortable and decorated perfectly to match the age of the house. After traveling for 8 hours with 2 kids, this was a perfect spot for us! Tire swings, huge trees, plenty of room to run and play outside and a cute little pond! I felt like I was in the time of yesteryear as we sat on the back porch and watched the sunset while the kids chased lightening bugs. I hate that we were only able to stay for one night! Beds were very comfortable, upstairs has cots for the little ones and the air conditioner kept us cool. I would certainly recommend this cabin!

Retreat, away from it all!
I came to Cookeville from Florida to find a place to live and to get to know the town and the area as I will be relocating with my job. When I first got there I was amazed, as beautiful as the pictures are on the site it doesn't do it justice. It is very peaceful and relaxing, away from it all. I had my 2 little Pomeranian dogs with me and we loved seeing all the cows and my favorite was the little blonde horse and a donkey that were always together and playing. :-) At night it is very dark and great for gazing at the stars and so many fire flies/lightening bugs it looked like a light show. The ground looked like it had twinkling christmas lights. The people in town are very friendly and helpful. I have already recommended this farm house to family and friends. What a great place to stay. The owners are very nice and make you feel welcome into their amazing retreat getaway Farmhouse, thank you very much :-) Teresa, Pebbles and Lucy from Florida

The location was relaxing in evening after a long travel day w/dogs
We arrived to clean, well appointed character filled, historic home. We were Glad to have place unwind on the porch swing and watch sunset for an overnight stay after long day of traveling.Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom clean neat and user friendly. The only concern was the amount of morning traffic along the driveway ( that accesses the farm?) Otherwise,I would recommend this pet friendly guests house to friends and family. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Love this cottage!

Was the perfect getaway weekend.
We had an absolutely amazing time. It is a working farm as there were vehicles, trucks, tractors driving by pretty consistently during the day. That being said it as very nice to be surrounded by animals and in such a peaceful setting. The cabin itself is beautifully done, every little detail has been thought out. We are already planning to see when we can return for another long weekend to recharge. Absolutely amazing.

Beautiful Place
The house is beautiful and extremely comfortable. We had a lovely time. The owners were very responsive. The only downside was that the cool fridge/freezer is vintage, and the freezer was not usable when we were there. Also, we were there on a week day, and large dump trucks passed the house on the adjacent gravel road on a regular basis. Otherwise the place was nothing but charm and fun. Thank you!

Simply Perfect!

Property was fantastic. My kids couldn't stop playing with the pony and the donkey. They had a blast on the tire swing. They even mowed a path to the pond so you could walk out there without being in tall grass. Wonderful stay....we will be back.

We picked this location as a stop over from Knoxville to Nashville & so glad we did! Perfect farmhouse on a beautiful property. The animals were so friendly and the sunset was beautiful. Home was decorated well.
