Set back in the lush foliage of the Oregon Coast, this private oasis is just the place for your next beach vacation away from it all. Guests will feel right at home, as the inviting decor and open layout allow everyone to spread out and find their own place to relax. The back deck is the place to be during warmer times of the year, as there is no better space to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or cold drink as you sit beside the firepit. As the sun dips below the trees, play pool inside as the smell of a home-cooked meal wafts in from the kitchen! Play a favorite show on the large TV and cozy up on the sectional until everyone dozes off to recharge for the next day's adventures.

WHAT’S NEARBY
Barview is a pleasant coastal town perfect for a peaceful vacation to the coast. Make your way to the plethora of state parks along the coastline and hike along the bluffs for breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. On your way home, stop in Charleston for a plate of fresh seafood at one of the local restaurants. Spend mornings beachcombing at Bastendorff Beach Park and feel the cool sand on your toes.

All of our children were stung by yellow jackets. There is a hive around the jacuzzi and in the yard and deck. This should be tended too, thankfully none of our children had an anaphylactic reaction. We were unable to locate the outside garbage cans and Vacasa did not know where we were supposed to leave trash either.

The home was comfortable and was sufficient for our stay. The couch and floor were not clean. The house is close to road that would occasionally have loud trucks go by. The kitchen was a little funky, lacking in counter space, and good cookware. We ended up just eating out.Other than the occasional truck on the nearby road, the house was peaceful and quiet. The beds were very comfortable. The deck with fire pit were very enjoyable. Great jumping off sport for many coastal parks.

The stay was very comfortable and we had plenty of blankets and pillows. The fire pit was amazing. Wish the hottub worked and there was a wasp nest in the side of it. But that didnt deter us!! Was amazing!

SP90 Coos Bay Mountain Bike Trip

The house is bigger than it looks when you first pull up. It is very comfortable and has everything you could think of needing! It is a bit secluded, which for us is great as we are looking for peace & quiet. It is an old house and has issues that most old houses do - but we loved it. The only issue we had was the cleanliness could have been a bit more detailed as there were a few things that were missed, but nothing that we couldn’t get past.

Not as clean as you would think

This home is ok! Don’t go when it’s raining. Has many leaks in roof. You contact them to tell you about it and they are like not much we can do. One in the king room above the bed. 2 in the kitchen and one in the bedroom closet. Pump ran dry on the morning of check out. Found out leave water on for about 5 min and water will start flow again eventually. Cob web throughout the inside of house along with spiders galore. Other thank that it was ok.

Family coming together

We had a family member pass and there was several that came together for the funeral and stayed at your lovely home. Wish we Spaulding have been able to use the fire pit, but the rain wouldn’t let us. The yard has plenty of room for my kiddos to play and the swing was a fun thing to find. We were very pleased with your home and it was very close to the home my mom grew up in. Thank you! P.S. The kitchen chairs at the table have loose legs. We tightened them the best we could with our fingers, but they need an Allen wrench.

Multiple issues

The house is nice inside, outside is very unkept except for the deck. We would have been good with the listing except the house apparently functions on a well and holding tank which went out and we didn't have water. Vacasa answered the phone but had no sense that this is a safety issue. I had to insist that the issue be elevated immediately. The local person was nice and responsive. He quickly arrived and brought us water. He tried to fix it but said a well expert couldn't arrive until days later. He said this issue has happened before. The home should not be rented until the issue is really fixed. Vacasa offered us another rental which we went to. It smelled heavily of mold, had dirty carpets and the outside was filthy. The home should not be rented in the condition it was in. We immediately left and found another option. We notified Vacasa and I explained to the representative that the house was not acceptable for my family. Our family was gathering because my son passed away from cancer two days earlier. We were in shock and could not ask any of them to stay in the dirty house. I asked for my money back from Vacasa given the issues. There was hesitation but she was kind and took my request to someone. She said Vacasa would agree to fully refund which they have done. My reason for the poor rating is Vacasa should not allow rentals such as these to be rented until the owners maintain them properly. I gave two stars because of the two kind employees.

Great Barview Cottage

Wonderful location for exploring up and down the coast. House was great. Very comfortable bed and sofa. We really enjoyed the deck and the secluded feel. Had an issue with the heater but Vacasa and the owner took care of it right away.

Worst stay ever.

We showed up to the home and it was not cleaned. The cleaner walked in when we were there to clean super late and did not clean anything. She was only there for 2 hours and none of the bedding got washed, the water was yellow and we were not warmed about the yellow water, the pump outside is absolutely not even close to meeting code, the bath tub was absolutely disgusting with dirt and gime built up in the bottom and all around the sides and the drain stop was broke, there was dust and spider webs all over the light fixtures, walls and ceilings, the master bedroom has huge black and yellow stains EVERYWHERE! There was outside debris all over the couch, the dinning room table was not wiped down as there was coffee rings on it and the floors were absolutely disgusting. Worst stay I have ever had. I would not recommend to anyone or ever go back. The return of 1/2 our money was not even enough to compensate for the disaster not to mention I had to clean everything myself for my kids to have a clean environment. The manager was not professional as she texted me when I call Vacasa 3 times before I got any response in return. Nothing about this trip was Enjoyable or easy besides getting into the house through the lock box.
