Cocoonr is offering this charming house for rent in a rare and totally private rural setting, less than a kilometre's walk from Gjuunchitu beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Balagne region, on the outskirts of Gjunchitu/Bodri, four kilometres from the market town of L'Île-Rousse. It has a surface area of 120 m².

The house has a lovely living room, a fitted kitchen, two bedrooms, a shower room and a garden of around 2,500 m². We're waiting for you!

The front terrace overlooks a 5-metre gap and the property is not suitable for young children, the elderly or people with reduced mobility.

The accommodation comprises
- A 35 m² living room with sofa, fireplace and dining area.
- A fully-equipped kitchen with electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob, etc.
- Bedroom 1: double bed (140×190)
- Bedroom 2: sofa bed (sleeps 2)
- Bathroom with shower and toilet

For even greater comfort, the owners have decided to invest in the following additional equipment: washing machine with integrated tumble dryer, plancha, fan, ironing board and iron.

Outside:
- A 105 m² terrace with sea views.
- Two other terraces with furniture to enjoy the fine weather.
- A private garden of around 2,500 m², not enclosed.

The accommodation is ideally located in Corbara, in very pleasant surroundings. A supermarket is a 10-minute drive away and a covered market selling excellent local produce is 7 minutes away. Bread, wine, biscuits, aperitifs and takeaways prepared on site are also available.

Things to do and see nearby :

On the seaside, take advantage of the magnificent beaches of Balagne for swimming, or discover the coastline in a different way thanks to kayak hire. From L'Île-Rousse, take a boat trip to the unspoilt Revellata, or hire a boat and take sailing lessons.

Horse-riding enthusiasts can visit the Algajola riding centre, while food lovers will love visiting the vineyards and discovering the local produce.

Don't miss the famous Sentier des Artisans de Balagne, which showcases the region's traditional skills. Just 20 minutes away, the charming village of Pigna, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Corsica, boasts a rich heritage, craft workshops, a museum of musical instruments and Corsican polyphony concerts.

Just 30 minutes away by car, you can also discover the Romanesque church of Aregno and the magnificent hilltop village of Sant'Antonino, one of the oldest and most beautiful villages in Corsica, offering exceptional panoramic views over the Balagne region.

Transport :
If you choose to come by car, you can park directly in the flat's private car park (5 vehicles maximum). The car park is accessible via a farm track and is not suitable for city cars (risk to bodywork).

Access and transport

As public transport in the region is very limited, the use of a car is strongly recommended to make the most of your stay.

The house is less than 4 kilometres from the nearest town, L'Île-Rousse.

The picturesque beach train, which runs between Calvi, L'Île-Rousse and Bastia, passes just below the house. The Bodri stop is just a 6-minute walk away, offering a pleasant alternative for exploring the Balagne coast.

Calvi Sainte-Catherine airport is around 40 minutes away by car. Car hire is highly recommended, as taxis are relatively expensive and there are no public transport links from the airport.
