Carova Trip

I would have given it a one star review, but I'll have to admit; the new construction home is beautiful, right on the canal in beautiful secluded Carova Beach. The 4x4 beach was a 3 min drive away from the house. In the years I've been using VRBO, this is my first negative review. First, check in process was difficult. Check in time is 4:00pm, but Brindley Beach Vacations office is only open til 5:00pm. We didn't make it into Corolla until 6:00pm and there was no way of getting the welcome package and beach passes from their office. You would think that it could have been left in the home. Upon arrival, the dishes and silverware were absolutely filthy. The water coming out of the faucet smelled like boiled eggs. There is no water filter in the refrigerator but luckily we brought our own drinking water. No where on the listing did it mention that you need to bring bottled water. And once you're on Carova, the nearest grocery store is 45 mins away. It wasn't fun to shower or brush teeth. The internet didn't work. I notified the management company and they told me that they would put it in the work order (along with the dishwasher) but they never once came out. Even though the listing said that there's a Keurig, it didn't work. The electrical outlets in the kitchen were non functional. In the bunk room, one of the sheets had a blood stain on it. Although we absolutely loved the seclusion of Carova beach, we couldn't wait to get out of that house.

New Build, Comfortable Amenities for Carova 4x4

This VRBO rental in Carova Beach was exactly as described. Check-in was simple, the house was clean along with sheets, towels and blankets. If you know Carova Beach, you should be aware that the water will smell like sulfur. Be sure to bring your own drinking water and any other items you need because there are no shops after leaving Corolla. The power in the kitchen remains faulty, the only outlets functioning in the kitchen are closest to the refrigerator and stove, which was no problem for our stay. No high chair available. Classic coffee pot available! Please list that there is a Gas grill available! The kitchen sink would benefit with a silicone strainer; The current metal one stops the flow of water down the drain unless you lift it. Thank you, we enjoyed your home and our weekend vacation!
