Njut av varma sommarkvällar eller skarpa lågsäsong eftermiddag blötläggning i badtunnan. This house is beautiful! The high ceilings, windows and new wood floors are lovely. It is just a few minute easy walk to the beach that we did with multiple little children that was fine. The kids really enjoyed the pool and playground right across the street as well. They are really low on forks and the sheets were sandy in multiple rooms when we arrived but it wasn't a huge deal. A bigger outdoor table would be nice for crab picks. You can walk to a coffee shop and it's a short drive to shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

Great Location, Great House!

I would highly recommend this house as a vacation rental. Corolla is a beautiful area. It seems much nicer than when you drive farther south to places like Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nagshead. It’s conveniently located within a few miles of shops, restaurants, and other attractions such as parasailing and the wild horse tours. It really is a fairly short walk to the beach and pool, which was very nice. So convenient that you can go down to the beach for a couple of hours, come back for lunch and then head back down to the beach again after lunch. Members in our party visited the beach and pool multiple times every day. The top floor has the living room gathering area with a big dining room table and island with barstools so plenty of seating for people to sit and eat. We had 11 in our party. There is a master bedroom on this floor with an attached bathroom that has a standup shower and garden tub, and two private decks off of the bedroom. Second floor has two king bedrooms with the bathrooms attached, the living room area has a fold out couch with access to the wraparound deck with the hot tub, and the laundry room. The bottom floor has two bedrooms, one with the bunkbeds and a slide out trundle bed from underneath the bunk, and the bedroom with two twin size beds, and a bathroom. overall, I really enjoyed staying here, and would probably try to stay here again on my next visit to the Outer Banks.

Enjoyed our stay!

Flyway was definitely the cleanest house we ever walked into in OBX. Kudos to the cleaners! The distance to the beach isn't bad. Just a short walk up the road, with 2 beach access to choose from. The public pool was super close and no one was ever there which was nice. We never used the hot tub, so no comment there, but it looked nice. The inside of the house is nice, new floors (easy to sweep), new tvs, new couch, new paint, decent size bedrooms with lots of private decks (the beds are firm) and extra space to spread out. The AC works really well for a rental! Normally the top floor never cools down. The only negatives were the lack/quality of the silverware (lots of forks missing and dull knives), the slow draining 1st floor tub and the Palmetto Bugs (we had a couple crawling about, 1 on my Mom's face while she slept). Overall we had an enjoyable time.

Fun Family Vacay

My family had a great time in OBX. The house was spacious and clean. The house is well kept and matched the pictures online. The floor was a little sandy when we arrived but we also found sand is bound to get in when you’re going back and forth from the beach. The rooms are big as well as some of the bathrooms. The outside shower was great for after the beach. My family was very comfortable sleeping, hanging out and cooking. Short walk to the beach and community pool. Lots of space for the kids to play in the living area. We would come back!

Fabulous Vacation.

Perfect house and location to vacation. Neighborhood is quiet and family oriented. Wifi in house is spotty at best so we ended up using cellular data during our stay. Since the house sleeps fourteen, it could benefit from a few more chairs on the decks for gatherings. Kitchen was bright, airy and well stocked. There were extra pillows and blankets, if needed. Good amount of family games but would have liked to have found some books to read too. Overall, great place!

Flyway stay week of June 8th

I would recommend this property. We enjoyed our stay the home was as described, clean, kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for meal prep, and beach and pool within walking distance. Hot tub was nice when it worked however it broke on the second day of our stay so we didn’t have use of it for the next couple days. TV’s in bedroom are very small but didn’t come to watch TV. Matresses are very firm. Pullout sofa was not comfortable. Neighborhood was nice. Felt safe.

Nice House for Family

Our family (8 adults and 5 kids) had a great time at this house. Each room has it's own bathroom which is very nice. The common areas are great size with plenty of room to eat and play. The walk to the beach is very easy and close which we all loved. The house cleaners definitely missed some sand throughout the house which we swept up the first day. We did experience some bugs in the basement level as well, which I understand is hard to avoid, but definitely a consideration if you're thinking of renting. Otherwise the house felt overall clean. If you're looking for a good house with plenty of room to hang out this is a great option. It's not modern updated (pictures are accurate) but a good house. We would stay here again.

Overall fabulous, great value

House was great, spacious and accurately listed. Short walk to awesome beach. Community pool and tennis/pickleball courts were also close and very nice. Only complaint is that the house had a millipede and spider issue on the ground floor that bothered some of the kids who were using those rooms. Not a huge deal, though. Would return!

There was a lot to like about Flyway - close proximity to pool and beach as advertised, discounted rate with VayK Gear for renting beach gear, on-site hot tub and a variety of sleeping arrangements. However, maintenance (not cleaning) of unit was less than expected. Examples - broken deck furniture and hot tub cover, broken lock on 1/2 bath, black mold on high chair, missing shower doors replaced with shower curtains, cracked window shades repaired with duct tape, etc. We realize these are high use units not always occupied by groups caring for them like they would their own vacation home, but felt it fell below acceptable standards compared to prior VRBO units we have rented.

Perfect for large families

House was perfect for our extended family! Could spend time together and spread out for downtime! Kitchen was very well equipped and we loved the deck space and hot tub! Highly recommend for large families with kids. Short walk to the beach, pool and playground.

Perfect Location

This home was perfectly located in Pine Island. The beach access was just a short walk. The community amenities were awesome! Some updates have been made to the house and some still need to be made but overall it was a great house for the price. Could use a large cutting board and sharp knives, otherwise perfectly equipped. Would highly recommend the rentals that are offered with the rental company. The community pool areas were great, with most of the homes having pools, you had the whole area to yourself. Would 100% recommend Southern Shores and the Pine Island Community

I will say I was a bit bothered by the fact that I stayed with Cove reality a few years back.. we literally payed half of what we paid at this house… that cove reality house was SUPER clean.. there wasn’t mold on the shower curtains like there with with this company. Not to mention cock roaches running all over the inside of this house… to the point we had to check bedding every night… we got bothered 3 different times within the first 5 days of being there.. one was someone wanting to paint a bedroom… ( tacky to say the least ) another was a guy who wanted to put tablets in the hot tub… and another was a guy who wanted to change air filters!! But I think the topping on the cake was when we were told to sweep and vacuum each floor.. yet they left an envelope for us to tip the cleaning people… umm not happening when I have to do the majority of the cleaning

Check in process was great; spaciousness of property was great, response to maintenance issues was prompt. Walk to beach and pool was good especially with young children. Cleanliness definitely needs improvement, spider webs/bugs in a shower, lights burnt out interior and exterior, ceiling fans were dusty and items from previous tenants were left in drawers.

Very nice location, we had a great stay! They even offered early check in at 11am! Only thing we would have preferred were better instructions to run the tvs, we could only get the tv in the main living room to work! All of the others just kept saying loading! We didn’t watch tv much so I didn’t bother to reach out about it!

Huge house in a great location as it's a quick walk to the beach and an even quicker walk to the community pool/tennis courts. The house's bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen were cleaned prior to our arrival but the whole house could really use a good scrubbing. It's well equipped with all the kitchen items needed and even has an ice machine.

Location!

Location is fantastic!! Close to several beach accesses, few minutes drive to grocery and shops, historic Corolla is just up the road and Duck isn’t a far drive either. The community amenities provided something for everyone in our family to enjoy and the $250 beach gear credit definitely went to use! Things to know before you go: You are provided with 1 roll is TP per bathroom, a couple dishwasher tablets and a couple clothes detergent pods upon arrival. There were no paper towels, kitchen rags, or hand soap. This isn’t a problem but just good to know so you are aware of how to prepare. Linens are provided and left in each room upon your arrival. There are only a couple of bath towels and washcloths per room so if you have a full house each person will likely only have one of each so you’ll be washing towels throughout the week. Again, not a problem but nice to know so you can plan accordingly. Some things we didn’t like so much: While the counters, toilets and tubs seemed to be clean, the floors weren’t. To the naked eye they were fine but the bottoms of our feet were extremely dirty after walking around without shoes on and where we wiped the floor from a spill, it was clear the floor has not had a good cleaning in a while. While there is PLENTY of space for everyone, and lots of furniture for folks to hang out on various levels of the house, we found that allot of the furniture was uncomfortable. The couches on the main level sag a good bit and the king sized mattresses are extremely firm (this coming from someone who loves a good firm-ish) mattress. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the amenities offered, but would likely not stay here again just because so many of us weren’t able to get a good nights sleep. If you can sleep on anything and want a great location with lots of space and good amenities, this is the place for you!!

We really liked Pine Island

Great location, and just the right size for our family; property is a bit dated, but has all the necessary amenities and is a great property for a family vacation. Outer Banks is a very special place!

Family beach week

Overall good experience- very nice, relaxing week with the family. Location was great only 5 minute walk to the beach and community pool. Kitchen could have been better stocked. Only one dish towel and no dustpan but these are very minor comments. Outdoor shower was not working but maintenance came immediately and fixed it even thought it was on Sunday. Would highly recommend this location. Thanks for a great time!
