Mysigt, rent och bra läge.
Det var ett litet supermysig Inn med ett stort rum med toalett och badrum i rummet. Så fin, rent och perfekt läge. Rekommenderas.

Toppenställe på Coronado!
Ett så trevligt och mysigt ställe att bo på! Åker gärna tillbaka. Nära stranden, nära centrum, lätt att ta sig med buss eller båt till Downtown San Diego. Gott om gratis parkering. Hämtade frukosten hos Panara bread och åt I trädgården. Ett fantastiskt gammalt hus och trädgård med trevlig personal! Man fick låna strandbadlakan och strandstolar.

Nice area, nice staff but the room we had was so small with a pull out twin bed making the room even smaller. The bathroom was also really small. Not sure what the other room was like.

I'm not sure how this place has good reviews. The Cherokee Lodge is basically a revamped house turned into a hostel. The entire check in process consisted of getting a door code emailed to us and inside a plain old key to our room. Once we opened the door to our room, we were hit with a horrible smell, which my wife identified as mothballs. The furniture and decor in the room can only be described as "grandma style" and pretty barebones. The paint in the room was peeling and the windows looked like the original ones that came with the house from a hundred years ago. Maybe the vibe was supposed to be rustic charm, but it was just run down with no effort put into maintaining it. We visited San Diego during a chilly time (40s at night, 50s during the day) and climate control provided was a $20 space heater from Walmart. The bathroom toilet, sink, and tub were clean, however there was mold on the ceiling. You know why? Because the bathroom had no ventilation fan! The moisture from showers was trapped in there. Long story short, I've never had reviews lead me astray like this place did. I'd give this a 5/10 (and my wife says that's too generous). We only stayed a couple nights, and I've never been so glad to leave a hotel. The ONLY positive I can give is that it's in a quiet location and within walkable distance of everything.

Thank you for your review. I apologize your stay did not meet your expectations. We did have a ventilation issue on the bathroom for room 2 and the window wasnt working. ALL of the windows in the lodge were replaced this week to fix that issue. Our furniture is meant to be charming and of a certain era. I apologize if you may not have seen the pictures before your arrival and were surprised with the esthetic. We try to maintain a warm, friendly vibe that is not cost prohibitive on Coronado. We would love to see you again as guests and perhaps try a different room.Cherokee Lodge

Well maintained and updated beautiful older building. Many thoughtful touches, including lots of outlets, smart tv, comfortable beds. Cookies and coffee always available. Staff very pleasant and caring. Walkable neighborhood- easy stroll to the beach, to shopping and restaurants. And quiet. Also lovely back yard for sitting plus comfortable chairs on front porch.

The Cherokee Lodge was terrific. Very friendly staff. Clean room, reasonably quiet. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Cherokee Lodge was even better than we expected! I'm absolutely not typically a B&B kinda gal, but the reviews I had read on this place had piqued my interest so we took a chance. I'm SO GLAD we did! The house is adorable, the grounds are gorgeous, and the rooms are well-appointed and cozy. Everything was super clean, and we loved the self-serve breakfast and coffee nook, with fresh cookies put out each afternoon! The wrap-around porch was our favorite place to sit and have coffee in the morning, among the lush lemon and orange trees, and abundant, well-tended flowers. The beach was a mere 5 minute walk away - we couldn't believe how close we were. The famous Hotel del Coronado was a 10 minute walk, maybe even less. And the Lodge is only one block from Orange Ave, where shopping, cafes, and restaurants are abundant. There's a supermarket one block away as well, where you can pick up snacks, a local beer, or a bottle of wine to bring back to your room for a night in, or to grab supplies for a picnic on the beach. My husband, toddler and I stayed in a king room upstairs, and my parents were in a separate king room upstairs as well. It felt "homey" and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and accomodating, and the other guests we encountered were friendly, quiet, and all respectful of each other. It was the perfect long weekend stay in Coronado, but we all wished that we were staying longer!

Cozy and friendly. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. On the downside, the walls are thin and you can hear everyone's shower. Parking is not provided and I often had to park more than a block away.

Quaint, cute, no frills and comfortable! Location was perfect, nestled on a beautiful street, within walking distance of Coronado Resort, the beach, as well as a tone of restaurants and shops. I arrived around 3:30pm; check-in was self-serviced after 3pm. I kind of wished there was someone there to touch base when I arrived, but everything was easy to figure out I understand having staff there would probably drive the cost up. Added points for being pet-friendly! My Terrier enjoyed taking walking around the block. The area felt safe even during the evening and early morning hours. My favorite thing was the snacks, coffee bar, and little fridge with yogurt, boiled eggs that was left for us downstairs. Love those little details that make a place feel more homey.

The location is perfect, just a short 5-10 minute walk to restaurants, Hotel del Coronado, the beach. On street parking was convenient. The bed was very comfortable Breakfast is adequate but basic. Other than pancakes and a toaster there are no other conveniences. Admittedly, we are not early risers but hot water availability was barely adequate. During a shower the hot water would run out and then return intermittently, not surprising given the historic nature of the facility. the hot ware system needs an upgrade.

The property location is great...very walkable to beach, shopping and dinning. The room and bed were comfortable...it is your basic continental breakfast..though they did just add a pancake machine. We would come back again.

Short Getaway
We fell in love with Coronado. This lodge was clean, comfortable and close to the beach. Morning breakfast (mostly cold items) was available 24 hrs a day. Nice outside sitting area in back or on front porch. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would return for another stay at this place.

Cherokee Lodge was a great value and a nice stay - conveniently located in downtown Coronado, it’s an older historical house converted into some separate rooms for a Bed and Breakfast type lodge. The property, while older, had some nice outdoor common spaces with a front and wraparound porch and a seating area in the back with a nice lemon tree. The room itself, while small was well appointed and our shower area was bigger than some hotels. Overall a great location and value although a bit of an older property. As long as you appreciate that this is an older space with some wear, the value in location makes it worth it.

The Cherokee Lodge was the cherry on top of our long weekend getaway in Coronado. We loved the history and preservation of the property, and it was so conveniently and centrally located a block away from all of the shops, diners, and bars. We absolutely cannot wait for the opportunity to return for more stays in the future!
