Our room was very clean and spacious. It also had a kitchenette that is very useful when you don’t want to eat out every day. We didn’t, since we were in Port Aransas only for three days, but we will plan to bring our pots and pans and buy groceries if we stay longer next time. The hotel is currently going through some renovations, the breakfast room is being rebuilt, so no warm breakfast available at the moment.
The water smells very strongly like sulphur, a normal occurrence in Port Aransas, and it’s ok for showers but I suggest buying drinking water.
The beach view is only seen from the third floor common balcony, so it’s not really important which room you book.
There is no elevator, only stairs, so if you have mobility issues make sure you book a first floor room.
Nancy, the hotel manager, was really nice and suggested us few great restaurants to try in the area.
We love this hotel because it’s located in a quiet area and accessible to the beach, we can’t wait to be back for another relaxing getaway weekend.
