â5 stars are not enough for the George and Dragon - the absolute best care and hospitality can be found here! Such a gem in a beautiful village with so much history. All the staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and generous portions. Only place open for dinner in the evening so be sure to reserve! Highly highly recommend. â
âThe location is a perfect ten, but the staff was far from good. First of all, it took us 1.5 hours to check in, and we didnât sense any effort to speed up the process. There was a complete lack of willingness from the staff to make our experience enjoyable.
Our room was also dirty, which unfortunately aligned with the poor check-in experience.
The Tan Hill has the potential to be amazing. It has everything going for itâexcept the staff, who failed to make our stay pleasant.â
âWe stayed for just one night, picking our son up from D of E at Aysgarth Falls. The landlord and lady were so friendly, and had a few beers with us. It was a gorgeous hotel packed with character. The bedroom was very clean and the whole stay was so enjoyable. The breakfast was top drawer, and sobtasty. We walked to the waterfall as advised, well worth it. Thanks to the incredible hosts.
