Great value for money
Lovely hosts offering personal and attentive service. Steady breakfast for being Italy. Small cosy place renovated with heart and smartness. Our room was a bit too small for a ski holiday and the sound went through the walls from other guest rooms. But all in all great value for money.

Hello, Thanks for your feedback. I am very happy that you liked and enjoyed your holidays here in Courmayeur and of course in my Maison. The rooms are little because we didn't want to change the structure (actually we couldn't by law) and the idea was to keep the original spirit and atmosphere of a 350 years old mountain building. Concerning the sound in the room n. 4 (the one you had), it comes from the steel stairs that goes to the suite n. 2. For this reason we are already thinking to "fix" this "problem" maybe adding a second door inside the room. Thanks again for your stay and for the feedback :) Best, Raphael

Located in La Saxe, which is less than 10 min walk to Courmayeur center. This B&B is upgraded with a rustic decor. The breakfast was served individually based on our time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The property is in a building that is over 300 years old and has been lovingly restored. It has many interesting architectural features. Very quiet setting. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Would definitely return.

Cozy and friendly B&B in Courmayeur
Had a great stay in August of 2021 while doing the TMB. Friendly host with good information around Courmayeur and a friendly tourist map, and great food recommendations to try around the city. Great location only a few mins walk to the city center. Breakfast was fantastic and included with the stay and provided a variety of options from healthy, sweet, or savory menu options. Would recommend staying here and would stay here again whenever in Courmayeur.

Hotel is a beautifully renovated period typical mountain house in a very quiet location as no cars are allowed inside the hamlet. Parking is not on site, however there are several free parking options within 5 minutes walk or less. Both the hotel and the hamlet are characterful and picturesque. The hosts are welcoming and happy to share tips on activities on the surrounding area

Loved staying in this 350 year old house. The room we stayed in had a lot of character and the hosts were very accommodating. Great location - nice walk to Courmayeur and close to grocery store and bus stops to hiking and cable cars.

A Rare Gem!
The Maison La Saxe is a rare and valuable gem, not to be missed. In a world of homogenized chains, this hotel is the antidote; it reminds you of why we travel and why it is great to meet new people in places that are different from your own. The hotel is in a tiny village, just on the edge of Courmayeur, that feels like time travel. You park a bit below the hotel and then walk into the village, into the interconnected series of stone and wood buildings, all purpose-built to save space and shelter from the weather and share a well and a courtyard. We were greeted with a giant smile by Raphael who told us about the building's history over the centuries and his father's efforts to make a sensitive architectural intervention. It was my son's first day in Italy and meeting Raphael at this exquisite place was exactly what I had hoped for. Fantastic local breakfast, great architectural details and a new friend in Raphael. Next time, I want to bring my favorite friends and family and rent the whole place (6 rooms) for a few days and really get into the rhythm of the place. I cannot recommend the Maison La Saxe enough.

Excellent location with a magnificent host in the most beautiful village of the Alps. Raphael is present to ensure everything about your stay is perfect. He loving restored his in which is a 300 year old building and just exquisite. He provides you with easy to follow directions to follow large segments of the Mont Blanc Trail and have great restaurant recommendations. It is hard to leave such a beautiful place.

This is a small, unique property walking distance from the center of town. Raphael is so kind and attentive. He kindly even picked us up from the cablecar station when we were too tired from hiking the TMB. The breakfast is outstanding. The hotel uses all local products. They should really charge more for the lovely visit that we enjoyed!

We enjoyed our stay in this unique hotel. Although the room was a bit small all the amenities were there. Our host Raphael was so sweet. He gave us lots of info on things to do and great directions. Mont Blanc was amazing. If you want a unique experience this is the place.

Stunning Hotel!
This amazing boutique Hotel was a truely amazing experience. The 350 year old building had a lovely renovation that sympatheticly retained the character of the building while offering beautiful modern amenities. We stayed in the attic suite which was a wonderfully authentic room, beautifully appointed with a mix of old and new. The beams were amazing and the views from the windows over the roof tops to Mont Blanc the best of our European vacation. Rafael was a wonderful Host! A true Italian Alps experience!! 5 star! Book this Hotel!

Quirky hotel
Had a real struggle to find the hotel,no parking on site but only a short walk away. The manager/owner Raphael was superb, guided us around the town and nothing was too much trouble.our room was quirky with lots of nice features, but if I am honest it was very small. Some of the other rooms were a bit bigger I believe. Breakfast was nice with an emphasis on local.we were a good 10 min walk from main town and a short drive to the lift. Skiing was good with some nice mountain restaurants !

Amazing little hideaway
This is an amazing boutique B&B, a cute place of only six rooms. There are not many services provided (just room and breakfast) but that is not a problem if that's not what you are after. If all you want is a beautifully designed, rustically furnished room with good wifi and delicious locally sourced continental breakfast then you will struggle to find better at this price in a mainstream alpine resort. The owner is also very friendly, helpful and clearly passionate about this recently opened property, having refurbished it from an old holiday home. The location in a warren of old cobbled pedestrian streets is part of the charm although it does mean you can't park just outside. There is a bit of a walk (10-15 minutes) to the centre but this was not too much of a struggle as it helped walk down dinner! A superb place.
