We had such a wonderful time staying at this property. It was a family trip with my parents, immediate family, and niece and nephew. We loved the location and access to the beach. It made for such a relaxing time to be able to go down whenever we wanted and head back up for meals, etc. There isn't a cook top as stated in the description, but there is plenty of cooking options that it wasn't an issue at all. We had most all of our meals there and just had Wal-Mart deliver groceries to the rental. The only downside I should mention is that there is no washer/dryer, so we were unable to do laundry. It is only a short drive to South Haven and Saugatuk, which both have lovely shops, restuarants, and things to do. Some of the group did a fishing excursion in Holland and had a wonderful time. There are lots of games at the rental and also some beach chairs and sand toys down by the beach near the stairs from the cabin. We also really enjoyed the gazebo lookout over the lake. It was all really peaceful and relaxing.

Beautiful location, but issues with privacy, misrepresented amenities, and cleanliness. Scenic location has a lot of potential. The screened-in gazebo and deck are lovely spaces to relax. However, the listing advertises “your own private beach,” which we reasonable interpreted as exclusive. In reality, there is another rental home shares the beach access directly adjacent to the house. This led to guests from that property believing the gazebo and beach were shared, and even used our beach equipment.Additionally, the listing indicates laundry is available, but there is no on-site laundry. When brought to the attention of the property management we were told this means that there is a coin-operated facility several miles away. That seems misleading, and since we packed according to having on site laundry available this was an inconvenience.Cleanliness was also an issue: the bathtub had used toiletries, there was sand in the fridge, the floors were dirty, and the dinner table had a greasy film.When we arrived after the designated check-in time, the owner was still on site, which delayed our full access and affected our privacy.The property has potential for 5 stars, but misrepresentation and lack of transparency made for a disappointing experience. I would likely not stay here again unless the listing is updated to reflect the reality more accurately and the management addresses these concerns.
