Perfekt läge i västra hamnen!
Perfekt läge med snubbelavstånd från snabbåtarnas terminal i västra Cowes. Litet hotell med mycket trevlig personal. Kanske var jag trött när jag anlände men definitivt bland de skönaste sängarna jag upplevt på ett hotell i Storbrittanien. Relativt slitet, okej frukost men i det hela så kan stället rekommenderas.

Bristande omsorg, vi borde blivit förvarnade.
Vi hade bokat och betalat rummet ca ett dygn i förväg och anlände på kvällen. Då visade det sig att duschen hade gått sönder på rummet och det fanns inget annat rum. Vi hade förväntat oss att de skulle erbjudit ett rum på ett annat hotell. Nu hade vi parkerat 250 meter från hotellet och släpat bagaget och visste att vi inte hade något alternativ. När vi checkade ut fick vi iallafall våra drinkar från kvällen före till ingen kostnad som kompensation.

Arrived out of hours the night porter and front desk did a great job. Gave all the information requested and were very welcoming. The room I stayed in was clean. Bed and sheets spot on but the decor needs refreshing.

Very old building needed some TLC. Cleanliness was poor, door handles felt sticky, carpets looked dirty. Noisy at night from bar next door which is open until 2am. On a positive note management helpful & friendly, breakfast was good.

Lovely old building right in the heart of Cowes. Rather faded glory and needs some attention to things like grouting and pitted chrome taps, and the window would only open a small way, meaning the room was very hot. There is NO parking with this property, so don’t travel with heavy cases! Parking is 8-10 mins away. Food was good and me in host was lovely.

Fountain inn excellent
Very exceptional staff all around from bar staff to manger. All aspects of our visit were catered for including the help with luggage to addressing my personal issues and rearranging rooms to help.

Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Location was well connected and there was great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the food! Room did need some low level maintenance and modernisation but wasnt a big issue for us. Would stay again!

Unclean and looking very sorry for itself....
The room was dirty when I checked in - the bathroom, in particular was filthy, there was mould in the shower, the fittings and shower screen have clearly not been cleaned for a long time and had considerable build up of water marks and calcium. Other shower fittings were disgusting and the light fitting directly above the shower was hanging loose. The carpet had not been hoovered in the room and the kettle was not clean. I reported this to reception, Emily who was working was the only saving grace in this issue and she upgraded me to a larger room which was cleaner but still not particularly clean. The whole hotel is looking very run down and sorry for itself and needs updating.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left all the staff we helpful and kind and friendly. The dining room is beautiful and dog friendly (not that we had our dogs but it was so nice to see them snuggled on their beds <3) there is even a food menu for dogs! Our dinners were delicious and cooked fresh to order. The bedroom was elegantly furnished and we had a lovely view of the harbour. The bathroom could use an update but all perfectly functional. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Good, solid hotel
Very clean and easy to find. Central in cowes. Ate there in the evening and had a lovely reasonably priced meal. Good breakfast to All went smoothly. Staff very helpful Room was very large seating area. Had a bath and shower. Some furnishings were a bit dated with a curtain only just staying up but as the room was comfy that was not an issue. Pleasant stay
We have visited the hotel before and enjoyed our stay both times. The hotel is centrally located within the town and the rooms are a good size. The service is always excellent and the rooms were clean. There was a good range of evening meals to choose from. A friendly family run hotel.

The hotel was very welcoming and everywhere was very clean understand that work was going on the hotel exterior and the hoped to move on to the room which are in need of updating but were kept clean and tidy sure when the improvements are done this will a great place to stay. Would still recommend it to people as it is

Great family run establishment
Very friendly staff. This is an old building so no lifts which could be a problem for some people. Our room had a great view of the harbour. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Would definitely book again if returning to the Isle of Wight. Parking was a short walk away priced at around £8.50 for 24hrs

Great view from room 20 however the room was in poor condition, with paint flaking everywhere, wall caving in, rusty things in the bathroom, loose windows, shower head, light shades and desk dirty. Whilst the sheets and towels were really clean, the room just felt less so and a bit run down and unloved. It was the cheapest room in Cowes for that night and very quiet overnight, despite the ferry terminal, so very 50/50!

Fountain inn is a pub rather than a hotel , very friendly staff and atmosphere . We stayed after festival very comfortable bed and huge room it could do will a lick of paint here and there in the corridors and I would give the cleanliness 3.5/5 ( areas to look at around taps bottom Of shower etc but it is an old building ) great location right next to red jet so perfect … food outstanding would recommend and stay again

Not great
The hotel accommodation was attached to a busy pub, rooms were very outdated and corridors leading to rooms upstairs were dirty, big mucky prints on doors. Actual room was very small, hot and stuffy, had just enough space to walk around the bed. A tiny fan was provided but the window needed to be open which caused lots of noise. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and ceiling. The door to the room was not very secure when locked and could easily have been opened with a strong enough nudge. After a weekend staying at a fesitval we had hoped for a relaxing and restful night before a long journey home, this was not the right place for us. We were woken by beer delivery very early. Got up and left, no reception around this morning to express our disappointment to. Food and staff in the pub were good but would not stay again.

Great hotel great staff great location
Great hotel, friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, Gemma and Dave were really helpful when we needed anything and it’s 50 yards from the red jet terminal. Highly recommended.

Convenient but noisy central location in Cowes
The Fountain is convenient and centrally located for everything in West Cowes. Staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room faced the street and some noisy late night bars. There were two fans provided, much needed as there was little natural airflow from the one window. A little dated but bathroom was more modern.
