  • Whether you're skiing fresh powder, hiking wildflower-filled trails, or exploring historic downtown Crested Butte, Studio 512 puts you in the heart of it all. Located at the Grand Lodge, you're just a short walk from the lifts, restaurants, shops, and the free shuttle to downtown.

    After a day in the mountains, relax in the heated outdoor pool or hot tub, unwind in the sauna, or enjoy a quiet evening in your comfortable mountain retreat.

    The studio comfortably sleeps up to four guests with a king bed and a king Murphy bed, making it a great choice for couples, small families, or friends looking for an affordable home base in Crested Butte.

    Recently refreshed for an even more comfortable stay! We’ve added several new amenities based on guest feedback, including Roku streaming, a Shark TurboBlade fan, upgraded hot plate, new bedside lighting, alarm clock, white noise machine, and fresh pillows. We’ve also added new Crested Butte artwork to give the space a more modern mountain feel, plus a selection of toys, books, and utensils for our younger guests.

Location was perfect for our needs. Used the pool every day as well as fitness center (small but fine for my needs). It was off season so no food at resort. Great convenience store and liquor store just across the street. Furnishings dated but kitchen well equipped. Transportation to town and Gunnison free and regular. Great touch.

This is a nice property. Not fancy, but good for the price. The bed was comfortable. There is a good fan in the closet that helped with the heat in the summer (we like it cold when we sleep). The hot tub is shared, but was not over crowded and was a pleasant temp. If you want to stream tv, then you will need to bring a device as the tv is not a smart tv (or we were too dumb to figure it out). This was not a problem for us, but just an FYI.

Door frame to the room was not in best condition so I didn’t feel all the way comfortable but we managed. All around there it was a great stay and a great trip.

Hot tub was always overcrowded. The room is perfect! Two amazing king beds. Perfectly cleaned. Plenty of kitchen tools etc. An easy 5 minute walk to lift. The owner is probably the quickest to respond I’ve ever experienced! Nearly immediate responses if anything arises! Would definitely stay again.

40th Birthday Getaway!

We had an amazing time at this property! The proximity to the free shuttle to town and base of Mt. Crested Butte was unbeatable! Seemed like a great deal for the price we paid in peak season.

Room is in a good location for skiing that’s probably its one decent attribute. Our entry code didn’t work and property staff saved us by giving us another code after they found me sitting in the hallway very frustrated. Owner didn’t return my call for an hour and a half with just an apology for the inconvenience. No mention of any compensation for our trouble which would have been appreciated. We were there in July and with no air conditioning, 5th floor/west facing room, one small window and only a couple LOUD box fans the heat was unbearable. Outside temps were in the 80’s so the room easily was 80’s/90° and we couldn’t cool it down. Nor could we sleep comfortably AT ALL. Should NOT rent out during the summer it was awful. Room was ok but tired. Hot plate didn’t work, Murphy bed mattress deplorable, closet door didn’t shut, old carpet, microwave and toilet felt like they were on their last legs. For the price I was expecting much, much more. Very disappointed overall.
