A delightful rental that was 'as advertised' and wonderfully close to the location of our extended family reunion less than 5 miles away. We would certainly return again (and soon were it not more than 600 miles distant from home)!

Can easily accommodate 6 people comfortably, and keep everyone entertained with the views, movies, boardgames, and a full-kitchen. Safe and quiet, with a responsive host nearby.

The space is fantastic. It's so thoughtfully designed, both inside and out, and being greeted by the sweet cat was wonderful. Our only complaint was the rooster deciding to start crowing at 3 a.m. on our first morning.

Fantastic Space and Experience!

We had a great time at this rental. The entire apartment is so thoughtfully curated and convenient. We loved the comfy couch and the fireplace the most. We will definitely be back again!

Special retreat

This is a really cozy, thoughtful spot not far from restaurants and the mountain and lake but in a very serene setting with caring hosts. I enjoyed sitting by the fire, surrounded by snow. I would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Wonderful Getaway

The butterfly suite is a cozy and adorable getaway spot. The hosts make sure it has everything you need and they’re responsive to any and all outreach. We loved it and definitely recommend it to others.

Peaceful!

Our stay at the Butterfly Suite was the exact peaceful weekend we needed! It was larger than it appears in pictures. The fireplace was lovely, especially with the snow outside. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to make meals, including spices that we forgot! We will definitely be staying again!

Did not disappoint!

I almost don’t want to give this little treasure a good review so it doesn’t book up too much! We will definitely be back. So private and relaxing!The hosts were on the same property but we never saw or heard them. The suite has everything you need and then some!

Shady Acres Weekend

Property was very clean and included all the necessary amenities for cooking. Access was easy and the owners were available if needed. It includes a king size bed that was very comfortable. I strongly recommend this property.

Well appointed suite great for a getaway.

My husband and I were looking for a convenient stay for a quick midweek getaway. The Butterfly Suite fits the bill perfectly! The suite was well-appointed and had everything we needed, plus a few extras! The bed and couch were comfortable. And the location was just 10 minutes away from Wisp, shopping, and dining. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great little place!

Great little place in the country! We were in town for a WVU game and wanted a nice place to stay - great alternative to the hotels charging extremely high rates due to the game. Wish we had more time to spend and relax at the apt. Rooster on the property, so be ready for an early morning wake up call ;)

Over night

We arrived about 30 minutes before check in. The hosts were very personable & accommodating. Ken & Cheryl allowed up to check in early to get started on our minni getaway. The house was very clean & cozy. We had an enjoyable night in front of the fireplace. We plan on a return trip to stay a little longer next time.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We came to the area so that my husband could go fly fishing. I had a delightful day alone on the property. I walked, observed the gorgeous fall foliage, listened to the chickens and read a book. The Butterfly Suite is conducive to rest and restoration. I would definitely come again.

Very peaceful and relaxing!

My daughter and I attended Barbara O'Neil week long conference and so enjoyed our stay in the very peaceful country, even the roo crow, loved watching the chickens, laying on the hammock and taking walks :). Like that it was close to Deep Creek Lake and all the restaurants around to enjoy. But just be aware when driving there are deer everywhere. The place was clean and had all the things a person would need to cook, but didn't need the kitchen items, we ate out most meals.

Weekend Trip

My husband and I had a comfortable stay at the Butterfly Suite. It was our first time to Deep Creek & Kenneth gave us great recommendations. The only con which wasn't a huge deal for us because we spent our time exploring Deep Creek but I was expecting the pool, hot tub to be on-site since that is on the listing but it looks like they have access to a community pool.

Perfect peaceful stay minutes from Deep Creek Lake

My son and I stayed a night (though we wish we were able to stay longer!) in the Butterfly Suite when we came to the area to enjoy some mountain biking. The unit was much larger than shown in the description and is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all that we needed. The hosts Ken and Cheryl were very welcoming and provided great tips on local places to eat. The surrounding property is extremely peaceful and beautiful. My 11-year old son especially enjoyed spending hours fishing on the pond on sight. We will definitely be back to enjoy this beautiful property! Thanks for a perfect stay!

Fabulously Romantic!

Our stay was amazing! We were celebrating our 31st Anniversary and it was perfect! The apartment was decorated beautifully and very cozy. We felt very welcomed by the kind note and fresh homemade loaf of bread. The apartment was clean, quiet, and had everything we could've asked for and more! We enjoyed watching the chickens from our bedroom window and the deer in the cornfield. The flowers and landscaping were delightful! It was located off the beaten path, however, it was easy to navigate to Main St. in Accident or McHenry, which led over the bridge to Oakland. We actually ventured into Ohiopyle, PA for a day to tour Kentuck Knob and hiked in Swallow Falls State Park another. We had a lovely time and will hopefully make this an anniversary tradition!
