Denna stora 1800-tals restaurerade århundradet fritidshus på rymliga grunder i en lugn avkopplande stuga inställning med avskild strand tillgång ligger centralt på cirka 200 hektar färgglada familjeägt jordbruksland och det vackra "skenande vattnet" av Northumberland sundet. Dess arkitektur och inredning kommer att glädja alla selektiva gäster.
Huset har varit i familjen sedan byggt 1879 - över 130 år! Det har nyligen uppdaterats och omhyggligt restaurerats av lokala hantverkare för att tillhandahålla alla möjliga moderna bekvämligheter, samtidigt som man noggrant bevarar sin ursprungliga viktorianska charm. Den har fått ett 4-stjärnigt betyg av "Canada Select".
Vi är alltid glada att välkomna dig till vårt hem, oavsett om det är en hemmabas för golf, eller när vi behåller traditionen för familjeåterförening. Våra två våningar vardagsrum, stort modernt fullt utrustat körsbär kök och separat matsal gör vänner och familjesemester lätt att rymma.
Tidigare besökare med intresse för antikviteter och historia har varit förvånansvärt glada att hitta sådan äkthet i kombination med alla moderna bekvämligheter.
Den här lilla ön, som kallas PEI, är känd för många saker: den minsta provinsen i Kanada, dess "vackra röda sandstrand, stora potatisar, förtrollande berättelser om Anne of Green Gables, den arkitektoniska prestationen i Confederation Bridge, Kanadas födelseort är men några. Oavsett om du vill spendera tid golf, prova saftiga lokala produkter, eller bara koppla av på stranden, kommer din vistelse på Wexford Heritage House att vara enastående. Det finns 25 cykeluthyrningsaffärer på ön. Med mycket av landet som stiger och faller i mjuka backar, lägg till Confederation Trail med sina 357 kilometer (221 miles) av platt, preparerad yta och du har en biker och vandrare dröm. Paddling, kajakpaddling, fiske. Ön är omgiven av varmt sommarvatten. Om du inte är i havet, vill du vara på den.

Our family had a great time staying at Wexford Heritage House. Ron was a wonderful and gracious host. The 1887 house is beautifully maintained, fully equipped and has been updated with charming décor. There are large lawns at the property with plenty of space for young children to safely play. The property has its own beach which is great for exploring and fun for children. We visited Canoe Cove Beach and played a round of golf at nearby Glen Afton. Our family had a fabulous dinner at the Lobster Barn in Victoria. Charlottetown and the beautiful sandy beaches on the north shore are a relatively short drive from the house. I highly recommend Wexford Heritage House as place to stay when visiting PEI.

This stately 1887 house is beautifully maintained & updated with charming décor, amazing lawns & pretty gardens. There is lots of space for several couples or extended families. The property has it’s own beach which is idéal for exploring & children. Nearby we would recommend Canoë Cove for kids when the tide is low. And there is very good golfing at Country View. Further afield, it’s central for daytrips to PEI’s many wonderful beaches, seafood restaurants, great golfing, Charlottetown & provincial & national parks. It is fantastic value & the owner is super.

Want for nothing on your stay away from home

This was our annual sibling trip. There were 4 couples and one single. Everyone had their own sleeping room. We ate in 5 of the 8 nights and everything we needed for cooking was there! Have never seen such a well stocked home. We wanted for nothing. The house has the feel and look of old nostalgia but with modern updates. The yard, amazing! The views, spectacular! The cleanliness we arrived to, top notch!! Anyone who rents this fabulous home will not be disappointed. Can't say enough....thank you, thank you!!!

Evening breezes

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Wexford Heritage House. It is a lovely old house, tastefully restored, with enough original finish work for it to maintain lots of its historic charm. Spacious enough for a large group, and with abundant outdoor seating opportunities too. Well-equipped kitchen, great for preparing food, or just relaxing. Beds are firm and comfortable, and I was able to get fantastically restful sleep. Cool evening breezes in early August. The beach across the street is a nearby bonus, and it's an easy drive to bigger beaches and other attractions. Very convenient to Charlottetown. Just a great place!

A wonderful week with family

Such a beautiful house for our family to gather, relax, and explore the area. The house was incredibly clean, spacious, well equipped and just lovely overall. Ron was very easy to communicate with, and the location was perfect! Near beaches and a short jaunt to Charlottetown. We had seniors, teens and a four year old. Enough space for folks to spread out, visit, play and sleep. Can’t say enough about how fabulous this house is!!!

Wonderful stay in historic farmhouse

We had a wonderful stay at the Wexford Farmhouse. The house had everything that we needed and is very comfortable. We stayed at the house together with another family with children of the same age (aspiring teenagers). There is a nice little beach nearby. With the central location it is easy to go see Charlottetown and other attractions on the island. The area is quiet and relaxing. The large grass area is excellent for the children to play frisbee. The communication with the owner Ron was excellent. He called us to see if everything was in order and gave us a few tips for things to see and visit.

Gorgeous home with tons of space!

We were 8 people vacationing from Ontario to PEI, this home is spectacular, we all had more then enough space, huge property, all the amneminities you need in house and private beach. Ron the owner was excellent in communicating with me, even before I booked to after we left. If your looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation within reasonable driving distance to all the local attractions look no further! We will definately be back!

Perfect Vacation Home!

The house and property exceeded our expectations. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious. It was a perfect mix of antiques and modern furniture. We loved walking down to the private beach with red cliffs and sand. The out buildings, rolling fields and view of water from the windows were breathtaking. It’s in a good location for island day trips. As a family, we have wanted to visit PEI for 30 years. It was a truly memorable trip thanks to this house. We even felt like it was a modern version of Anne’s home! I highly recommend it!

Beautiful Home

Our family enjoyed our week in this beautiful home! The house was spacious and very accommodating for our group of 10. The outdoor space provided lots of room for the kids to run and play. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the front porch. We loved the warm water and exploring at the private beach. Great location and a short drive to Charlottetown. Highly recommend!

Belle grande maison.

Heritage house stay

This house has an amazing amount of character! You can tell this house has been a labour of love to get it restored to its current glory. Everything we needed was easily found and we had a very comfortable week long stay. The big yard was awesome for my 4 year old nephew to run around and play. The location was great for us, on a quiet road with a nice long driveway. Ron was very easy to communicate with and got back to us in a timely manor. We would stay here again in the future!!

Wexford Heritage House

The stay at Wexford has been one of the most enjoyable vacations our family has ever had. The beauty of Prince Edward Island is fabulous, but the house added to the pleasure of this trip. Wexford Heritage House is the perfect family vacation rental in PEI

Our family would definitely recommend the Wexford Heritage House for a vacation rental in PEI! The house is well appointed with all the amenities to host a large family for a relaxing stay in beautiful PEI. The kids had a lot of fun walking along the beach and playing in the water. The property has a lot space allowing us to play some games with the kids in the front yard. We thought the location in Cumberland allowed for a perfect combination of relaxing days at the house and sight seeing tours to other parts of the island. Our family was very happy with the week we spent at Wexford Heritage House.
