Röjningen - Tyst - Nära till naturen

Denna nyrenoverade stuga ligger ovanpå en kulle med utsikt över floden Wild och Scenic Westfield omgiven av statsskog och skyddad mark. Vilda djur finns i överflöd och vi är en fågelplats. Många på morgonen kan du se dimma från floden. Gå ut genom dörren för att vandra, mountainbike, snöskor eller åka skidor i skogen. Väldiga längdskidspår finns i närheten. Notchview-reservation, 20 minuter bort har enligt min mening den bästa XC-skidåkningen i västra Massachusetts. Vi är belägna halvvägs mellan Berkshires med dess många kulturella aktiviteter och Pioneer Valley, hem för de fem högskolorna: U Mass, och Smith, Amherst, Mt Holyoke och Hampshire Colleges. Stugan sover fyra (1 sovrum för 2, 2 inbyggda tvillingar vid vedspisen). Köket är fullt utrustat. Ägaren bor på fastigheten i huvudhemmet nära stugan.

A wonderful grandma's cottage type of feel. Very charming, quiet and beautiful place to stay. I could picture living in a place like this, it had a feeling of home, and the views are amazing. I can not stress enough how wonderfully quiet and peaceful it was.I wish I could have stayed longer to really soak it all in and explore the beautiful grounds more. There are games and puzzles you can do which we found fun in the evenings and the wifi worked great. Would love to stay here again.

This is a charming and well-appointed cottage in a beautiful setting. It felt open and very spacious for the two of us (& it could easily host 2 more people). The kitchen was well-equipped, and the rest of the place was thoughtfully planned out. We especially loved the screened-in porch, from which you could observe the natural beauty surrounding us, including the rolling hills beyond. There’s a wood stove and a large in-ground swimming pool & picnic table, which we did not use, but we can see the added benefit of these in other seasons. The hosts, who live next door, were very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this property! We hope to return.

Peaceful comfortable getaway

This is our second time staying in The Clearing. It's one of our all-time favorite stays. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. We could live in this comfortable house. It's charming and well-appointed with everything you'll need. The bed is comfortable. Sit on the screened-in porch and look at the mountain in the distance. Read a book or go for a hike. If you're here in the summer, swim in the large pool. That was a treat on our first stay. This time we were here for Smith College's graduation. It was a perfect respite after full days with our Smithie. If life brings us this way again, we'll definitely be back.
