The staff makes all the difference!
I would have rated this place 3/5, but the staff are so impressive at taking care of their guests so I can't stop myself from giving a 5/5 review.
I arrived at 05.00/5am, and was expecting to have to book an extra night so I could go straight to bed instead of waiting until check-in at 14.00/2pm. But no, that was no problem, I could check-in early without any extra charge!
The same thing when I was leaving. I had a late evening flight but they gave me a room for free to use from check-out at 12.00 until 19.00/7pm when I was leaving.
The only problem with the hotel, as many others have written about, is the loud construction right next door. The house they are building next door is attached to this hotel, and it has completely blocked the view from several of the rooms towards the river. I was woken up around 07.00/7am during the week days by the construction crew. I could not use my balcony either as pieces of bricks and mortar was falling down on it from the construction next door.
I was given bags of tea and coffee by the owner as he was sorry for the noise from next door, even though it really isn't his fault.
If I go back to Hoi An, and I hope I do, I would book this place again.
