This beautifully kept and renovated home features stunning design and eclectic decor, emitting the quintessential “Bishop Arts” vibe. The fenced backyard provides a space for al fresco dining.

Inside, find beautiful wood floors, unique built-in shelving, and all the comforts of home. A wonderful home office setup is appointed with a desk, rolling chair, and printer. When you are not tasting the local fare, create your favorite recipes in the well-equipped kitchen. After fun-filled days walking the area, return home for movie nights on the smart TV in the living area.

It's a nice place with a fun location, but was let down by some fundamentals. We arrived at 10pm at night on a Saturday and the electronic keypad had flat batteries. With great luck and a bit of time we managed to get access. This didn't get fixed until Monday. The place also had very few of the basic supplies you'd expect - no soap, laundry detergent, tea towels, salt or coffee. Ok, but this should be specified because there's no supermarkets near by. If you ask guests to put a wash on when they leave, at least supply laundry detergent.

We had a wonderful stay at the bungalow! It was in a great location for enjoying the Bishop Arts district. My husband was concerned about sounds from the bookstore next door keeping the kids awake, but we did not hear anything once inside the house, and they were thrilled about ice cream right across the street. I'm definitely thinking it's the perfect location for our next anniversary trip or a girls weekend.

Cute, but loud

In hindsight, I should’ve considered this before booking, but I am leaving this review for anyone else who is just looking for a nice place in Dallas: if you are looking specifically to be in Bishop Arts and be close to all the shops and bars, this is a great location. However, if you are just looking for a nice and quiet place to stay in Dallas, be aware that this area is quite loud. The bar next door had loud music until about 10pm every night, and had very loud music all afternoon on Saturday. Additionally, there were lots of rowdy groups of drunk people blasting music or yelling at all hours of the night, so I was always woken up a few times each night by that. The bar does adhere to the good neighbor program, but people hanging out in Bishop Arts do not! I will also say, this house was aesthetically beautiful, but a lot of elements of the home seemed like they were chosen purely for aesthetics and not built to be functional. A lot of the blinds were missing the cords to be able to raise and lower them, the shower curtains didn’t have a plastic screen all the way around so the fabric curtains were growing mold, the cabinets under the bathroom sink seemed to be deteriorating and coming apart, etc. All in all, if you aren’t picky and are mostly looking for a cute place to stay in the middle of Bishop Arts, this place will be perfect. However, if the location is of lesser importance to you and you really want someplace peaceful, I would probably look elsewhere.

Great Location!

This house was a great choice for the few nights we stayed in Dallas. Travelling with a 5 month old and 3 year old, it gave us enough space for everyone to be comfortable. Side "office" worked great for the pack and play although had to bring our own black out shade as the windows still let in a lot of light. Wish the check out was a typical 11am instead of 10am, and there was coffee pods provided, but other then that this was a great place. Location was the best as there were so many restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream and shopping in walking distance that we didn't need to pack everyone up in the car every time we wanted to go out. Beds were also very comfortable! Would stay again.

Amazing House

Just by looking at the outside, we didn't know what we were getting. But once we open the door, it was amazing. The decorations were so great and we all loved them. It was a comfortable house cozy made you feel at home. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay there.

If being directly next to a bar with music so loud, day and night, that pulses through your body day and night, and no directions to find parking in the alley behind the house is your idea of a good place to stay, this is your place. If you like a management company who is unable to this, perfect. But if you want a place to relax a little, don't book this.

Bishops Art is a wonderful area, and the house was right in the middle of it all. The house was more than adequate but there were a few lesser things that were a problem. The freezer door was broken, and the freezer badly needed defrosting. The TP holder needs to be fixed and attached to the wall better. The TP was of the filling station, airport variety and needs to be upgraded. Sam's has a good quality TP at a very reasonable cost. There was no facial, nose tissue (Kleenex, etc.) which even hotels have. Some instruction for the door locks would be helpful. After three days we finally figured out where to push on the number pad to get the display to come up.

Wonderful gem in Bishop Arts

We loved our ten day stay at this Dallas property. The neighborhood is super walkable with lots of restaurants, coffee shops and boutique shops. Having designated parking was icing on the cake. The bungalow itself is adorable and the furnishings are comfortable and cozy. We’d definitely stay here again.

Wonderful home and location. If I ever need to staycation again, I will for sure choose this home! Has everything you need while being insanely cute too. All the amenities you can think of.
