- Sleeping & Living: 2 bedrooms, each with three single beds. Fresh bed linen is provided at the start of your stay. Blackout window coverings in the bedrooms help you sleep in. A Smart TV in the living room is ready for your favourite streaming services. The private balcony is a natural extension of the living space — morning coffee or an evening wind-down.



- Kitchen: A fully equipped kitchen for self-catering at your own pace — from quick breakfasts to proper dinners. Hob, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster are all available. We provide an initial supply of filter coffee and paper filters. Kitchen roll and washing-up liquid are provided, including dishwasher tablets.



- Bathroom: Full bathroom with shower and hairdryer. We provide fresh towels at the start of your stay. Toilet paper and soap are provided.



- Laundry: A private washing machine in the apartment makes longer stays effortless. A clothes airer is available.

# About the Area



Datteln sits where four canals meet — the Dortmund-Ems, Rhine-Herne, Datteln-Hamm, and Wesel-Datteln canals converge here to form the "Dattelner Meer", one of the largest canal junctions in the world. It's a calm, walkable town in the northern Ruhr where industrial heritage, waterside paths, and green nature sit side by side, with over 35 km of canal-side trails for cycling and walking.



# Shopping & Essentials



Everything for the day-to-day is within easy reach. The dm drugstore on Neumarkt is the closest — about 3–4 minutes on foot. Datteln's pedestrian zone, with its shops and bakeries, is around 4–5 minutes away. REWE (Hafenstraße 20) is about 10 minutes on foot, and Lidl (Wiesenstraße) around 13–14 minutes.



# Dining



- Hafenrestaurant Datteln (Hafenstraße 129) — a local institution serving fresh fish, steaks, and hearty regional cooking, with a terrace right on the canal. Best enjoyed on a warm evening watching the barges pass.

- Landgasthaus Klaukenhof — traditional Westphalian cooking with a beer garden, set in open countryside at the edge of the Hohe Mark nature park. A short drive out, worth it for a relaxed evening.

# Public Transport



Datteln central bus station (ZOB, Castroper Straße) is about a 5-minute walk (~410 m). From there, the SB24 runs to Recklinghausen in around 28 minutes, with further connections to surrounding towns.

Tip: A car is the most flexible way to get around Datteln and the wider Ruhr area, but the central bus station puts everyday trips within easy reach on foot.



# By Car



The A2 motorway is about 8–10 minutes away, and the A45 around 12–15 minutes, putting Dortmund, Recklinghausen, and Münster within easy driving distance. Dortmund city centre is roughly 25 minutes by car.

The apartment is on the 2nd floor. Access is via staircase — there is no elevator. Please consider this if you have heavy luggage or limited mobility.



Please note that there is no air conditioning in the apartment.



Stay Over Cleaning is available on request for an additional fee. Just get in touch and we'll arrange it.



Pets are not permitted.



Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment. Smoking on the private balcony is permitted.



We kindly ask all guests to be considerate of neighbours and observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM onwards.



For direct bookings, a refundable security deposit may be required. If applicable, the details will be confirmed before arrival.
