Im not sure if it was a lack of staffing issue or not, but the hotel was not ready for the nearby event.
My room didnt have the needed bedding for the pull out bed and it took over an hour to get them for me and i had to dress it myself.
I pulled the bed out and it was damp, as well as had lots of food and such in, and under the couch with the pull out.
The shower drain was very slow and the water welled up past my ankles.
The sliding door to the bathroom door did not close all the way, leaving a gap of visibility into the bathroom.
The phone inside the room was inoperable and I had to walk down to the lobby each time.
I was told by staff that the mess and faulty phone would not be remedied until after i checkout.
While walking to my room I seen a guy sleeping outside his room, his key didnt work and he was told the door was locked from the inside and the "engineer" wont be there until morning to help. The poor guy paid for a room he couldnt even use.
Any hotel with high traffic or near any major venue needs overnight staff to handle such issues, but there was none.
The present staff were as helpful as yhey could be without the proper supporting staff.
