Lakefront efficiency 3 min from Deleon Springs State Park

We are offering a beautiful private efficiency apartment for rent in our home. This efficiency has its own private entrance, bathroom, and its own patio/deck with a beautiful lake view. There is a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and small dining table. It’s part of the downstairs of a two story home, and we live in the upstairs. Our first floor efficiency is independent from the rest of the house making it very private. This Old Florida style waterfront home is located within walking distance to Deleon Springs State Park. The Old Spanish Sugar Mill is the perfect spot to get away, relax, and enjoy the undisturbed Florida waterways. Our home is located in front of Spring Garden Lake, where every day provides beautiful views of the sunset that can be contemplated from the patio of the house. This land has been preserved by the Lennon family for generations. Our son, Triston Lennon is the fifth generation native to this area.
Our house has two levels. The first floor contains the rental and large 6 car garage. The rental is composed of one bedroom and one bath featuring a super comfy king size bed, jacuzzi tub, and walk-in shower. We want to encourage our guests to enjoy the 40’ x 12’ private patio/deck area at sunset or take one of our canoes for a short paddle ride up to the spring to see the small waterfall. We love our life in Deleon Springs, we love nature, the environment and our family's history. The bedroom is decorated with an abundance of items depicting the rich history of the area. Spent Christmas here with my girlfriend. What a gem. This place is in the heart of old Florida. The home is on a secluded property on a lake that ties into Deleon Springs. We rode bikes up to the park stumbled upon a semi pro baseball team and watched a few innings. Walked the trails. Took a guided boat trip. Ate breakfast at the Sugar Mill Restauraunt. Watced the sunset on the lake. Garrett was a 5 star host. He shared his knowledge of the land and Indians that called this place home. He made our experience more enjoyable. We will be back again!

Dirtiest VRBO we've evwr stayed in. Room was under a house and the owners were loud above us, very early the morning. We kindly asked about it and were told we could "go get a hotel room". Room wasnt ready when we arrived. Patio furniture was filthy with animal droppings all over it. Had to walk through dirt and knee high grass /weeds to get to the room. You certainly couldnt make it down to the "waterfront" that was advertised.

Old Florida Charm

Nice, clean room with top end finishes beneath owners residence and adjoining garage. Private entrance and pretty view of lake. Bed is very firm. Lake is very low, not navigable by canoe this time of year. Owner did disclose sulfur smell in water, after we had booked. De Leon Springs is close by, there is a long line to get in early, but no line later in the day. Lennon Park has a nice hiking trails and if you ride mountain bikes, the trails look great. There isn't a lot to do but if relaxing is your plan, it's a good location. Beaches are about an hour away, we enjoyed Flagler Beach. Deland isn't far away for groceries and shopping.

Nice place but had a few issues

Garrett is a great guy but hired a poor cleaning person. Bed was made with unwashed sheets. Garrett brought clean ones and helped make the bed. Next issue caused us to leave early. The bedroom ajoins the garage and filled with smoke when the host smokes in the garage. I turned one the bath fan and opened the window but it just lingered. Simply stunning

If you want to find a slice of old Florida, with direct access to a pristine lake, then this place won't disappoint!We stayed for only a couple of nights, but very much wish it had been more. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. It was also enormous, with a separate bathroom which was far bigger than expected.The pictures don't really do this place justice. The location is incredible, with a view (and sunsets) that are world class. Also, the De Leon State Park is literally round the corner. The place feels tucked away but actually you can be in Deland in a few minutes, with access to various shops and restaurants.The best feature was our host Garrett, an absolute legend who defines true Southern hospitality. He couldn't do enough for us, and this included a boat trip around the lake into the areas that only a local would know.I cannot recommend this place enough!!

We arrived before 4 pm check in. We’re able to visit with owner and view surroundings. Very beautiful place, tranquil setting. The facility has everything that was stated in VRBO. We will stay again if the facility is available next time we visit family.

Perfect stay!

This beautiful in-law apartment had everything we needed for a short stay. So clean, and nicely decorated! Wish we had more time to use the bikes. We appreciated the complimentary park pass and visited De Leon Springs. The sunsets on the lake were breathtaking and unforgettable! We enjoyed chatting with Garrett, he has built a beautiful home! Weekend Getaway

I couldn’t have asked for a better location or amenities. The bikes and lakefront view were the best addition that brought so much entertainment. We took the bikes to the state parks(everything was so close) the springs were amazing and we got extremely lucky with the weather. The sunset views on the lake were incredible. The hosts were very friendly and communicative. I would definitely reccomend this place for a weekend getaway.

Perfect stay for the Deleon Springs and Deland

Our first time to the area, heard so much about Deleon Springs. The room was absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable. Met our host Garrett on first night, had a very pleasant and informative conversation and learned so much about the area, the Springs and the local town. Deland is definitely a hidden gem with so many shops and unique restaurants. Went to the Springs the next day using our bikes and the host-provided park-pass and swam around in the chilly, but very clear, Spring. Was hoping to see the sunset over the lake we have heard so much about, but it was overcast in the evening. We would absolutely come back again.
