Canoe Creek Cabin - Lager öringström på 24 hektar norr om Decorah!

Kom och njut av några av världens bästa öringfiske och vandringsleder precis utanför din ytterdörr! Fastigheten inkluderar klippta bäckfasad med många djupa fiskehål samt olika vilda djur och blommor spridda över 24 tunnland. West Canoe Creek rinner genom hela fastigheten. År 2018 lagerförde DNR över 1 700 regnbåge i denna bäck. I strömmen ingår också vildbrunt öring. Du kommer att ha tillgång till hela det 24 tunnland stora paketet tillsammans med angränsande offentliga fiskeegenskaper. Dessutom kan svampjakt vara bra på denna fastighet under våren med de många Dead Elm Trees. Välkända Seed Savers Exchange ligger drygt en mil från den här fastigheten. De erbjuder ett stort besökscenter, fruktträdgård och är värd för flera evenemang under hela året.

Inuti har kabinen för närvarande ingen dusch / badkar (kommer 2020) men det finns en port-a-potta för användning bredvid stugan. Köket har fullt rinnande vatten. Det finns en queen size-säng på bottenvåningen och loftet inkluderar 3 enkelsängar och en hel säng. Stugan har ett trevligt täckt däck (med en gasgrill och uteplats) med utsikt över Canoe Creek Valley. Det finns en carport bredvid kabinen för två fordon som ska parkeras under och ut ur elementen. Köket är fullt lager och innehåller allt du behöver för att laga mat varje måltid. Kabinen har en TV med en DVD-spelare om vädret inte samarbetar. Det finns luftkonditionering och en ugn som kan användas för att kontrollera klimatet i kabinen. Ved tillhandahålls också för att njuta av lugna bränder utanför. Detta 24 tunnland paradis kommer att erbjuda oförglömliga minnen med vänner och familj!

Perfect getaway for fishing

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. It’s located in the perfect spot for fly fishing and was quiet and secluded. The property was beautiful and the inside of the cabin was cozy. We would highly recommend and will stay here again!

Luther Graduation

The cabin fit our needs perfectly. We got up and went for a long walk on the trails in the morning and sat outside on the covered deck and played cards in the afternoon. Plenty of room for everyone to meet up and spend quality family time together between events.

Love the location and distance from town to do activities with our family. Was above and be on handle cook a meal as a family. And love that all the items with cookware was at this location. That’s a plus, with a family. The accommodations were above our expectations! Great getaway if you love nature.

Great property but needs updating

This is our second stay at this location. The property and area is wonderful. If you’re looking for a quiet spot to getaway for a few days and don’t require fancy accommodations, this is for you. However, I would love to see a few updates made to this cabin. Our backs are so sore from sleeping on the outdated mattress in the main bedroom. It’s time to think about bringing in a new one, as well as new sheets. They’re so ratty and pilled! Very scratchy on the skin. The coffee took over one hour to brew and doesn’t stay warm because the heating plate is totally roasted. Please get a new coffee maker, they’re pretty cheap. Can something be done about all the annoying gnats on the porch? Maybe have someone come out and spray the property. We could barely enjoy ourselves outside. Okay, other than that, great stay, and we’ll probably come back once the bed has been updated. We can bring our own coffee pot. ;)

Fishing trip

Absolutely wonderful. Very peaceful quiet place, close to Canoe creek for fishing. I will be back. Went with son in law and he stated he will bring his family up there. Loved the fact that it was a dark area so stars at night were amazing. Lots of wildlife to see, even got to meet neighbors dog, which we named Ralph, very well trained and friendly.

Family Getaway

The property was exactly what we were looking for---private and peaceful with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our family of 3. The host Brendon was very responsive and provided detailed instructions for the check-in and check-out process. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you need and the carport was nice to protect our vehicle from the elements.

Great visit!

This is our third visit and we will be back. Cabin is not fancy, but has everything we needed. Spent time trout fishing and just enjoying nature. I highly suggest this cabin if you are looking for a getaway away from it all!

Great get away!

We had a great time at this cabin. We walked down to the trout stream and caught a couple trout! We drove to close by streams and caught trout. Sitting on the porch was so relaxing even though it was hot during our stay, the breeze kept it comfortable. The cabin is well stocked and very comfortable. We will definitively be back.

The BEST kept secret location!

If you are looking for privacy, seclusion, and relaxation this is the place for you! We LOVE this property and hope to return for a third (and more) time. The fishing is great and right in your back yard. The property is beautiful; we saw deer every day and had some amazing bird watching with our binocs. It is only a short drive to some good restaurants and cute shops (Decorah). The house is stocked with everything you need. This is the only property we’ve ever made a point to visit for a second time, and we can’t wait to come again!

Awesome second time around

This was our second start here First one in November of 2021!!! It was awesome then and we just did 4th of July 2023 and it was just as awesome!!! Caught a bunch of trout, enjoyed the views of the property and spent time in town swimming at Trout Run Park

Adorable clear cabin

Nothing fancy about it, which is exactly what we wanted. A simple place that had running water, electricity and a bed at night. Streams that are on the property were well maintained. Lots of wildlife around. We will definitely be staying here again!

Cabin with Trout Stream

We enjoyed our stay immensely.. The inside of the house was very nice, though somewhat dated. A lot of the outside was a little bit unkept and needed some work. It is a very nice location and convenient to many local attractions. Plus fishing in the creek was pretty good.

A comfortable stay

I wanted to spend my 70th birthday pretending that we lived in a little farmhouse surrounded by trees and a trout stream, close to town, but out in the countryside, and voila! There we were! A perfect getaway for us! Cabin instructions were easy to understand, and everything we needed was there. Hope to return.
