    Glamping Unplugged är primitiv camping på en aldrig tidigare skådad nivå. Och vi spenderade inte en mynta på denna stålkuppel för att göra dig besviken! Vi har skapat ett utrymme för din eftertraktade digitala detox på en vacker markområde som möjliggör största integritet. Fördjupa dig i naturen och koppla ur kontakten, du kommer att tacka oss senare.

    Ankomst till en king size-säng med mysiga rena lakan steg från en bullrig statlig öringström. En avancerad kylare är ditt kylskåp. En Weber kolgrill är ditt kök. USB-driven belysning och elladdare tillhandahålls förutom sängkläder, kuddar, handdukar och toalettpapper. Det finns skärmar för fönstren för att tillåta en korsbris och en solenergidriven fläkt. En tyngdkraftsdriven, soluppvärmande duschblåsan tillhandahålls för användning utomhusdusch (eller helt enkelt använda den kristallklara bäcken), och naturligtvis finns det en toalett.

    Vi har förmodligen inte tänkt på allt, varför vi öppnar septemberhyror före vår 1 oktober-lansering på STORA RABATT så att du kan dela din camping / glampande insikt med oss.

The property was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable and the portapots were the cleanest I’ve ever seen. We only gave 4 stars because the condensation buildup inside the dome dripped pretty steadily leaving puddles on the floor and bed got us in the face some while sleeping, it had also created some mold/mildew inside at the top. This is just something that happens with tents, but is definitely a little bit of a downside and we would have brought something to protect our bedding if we realized it would drip that much. Overall, it was an awesome place and we’ll definitely tell our friends.

The unplugged out door experience was such a vide. The property is gorgeous and there are multiple places you can access the water to swim.

This geodesic dome facility is for the adventurous traveller. There is no running water, no electricity, a 150 yard walk to the porta-potties (very clean), and no cell phone service. But there is a running stream (supposedly stocked with trout but none seen in September), a dry shelter, a comfortable king size bed (bring your own linens and/or sleeping bags), 2 bunk beds in a separate room, a deck overlooking the stream with a fireplace and comfortable Adirondack chairs, and a large grassy lawn. Also available on site are bocce balls, bean bag toss equipment and other fun things for the kids. As a plus, it is very dark at night which yields a great view of the heavens not normally seen in more civilized locales. Near the entrance is a swimming hole sized pool in the stream.

So great to disconnect!

What a great spot to disconnect from the real world for a few days and to introduce our kids to the idea of camping! We will definitely be back!

Peaceful Getaway

Unique experience with peaceful setting. Owners are amazing to work with and are very responsive to communicate. Camping without having to carry everything or set it up. Beautiful creek scenery.

Our only complaint was that there were no trout in the water, in fact no fish at all. Otherwise it was so peaceful and very relaxing

Deep gap dome, almost awesome

My girlfriend and I booked this trip to get away from city life and enjoy the peace, quiet and privacy of a mountain getaway. The location and setting were nice, although the listing noted we would have the entirety of the rental property to ourselves. Upon arrival we were greeted by a family of four and multiple campsites within the property. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the listing was dated and some minor details were errant. The place was clean and tidy, and the wood stove was a live saver! Still would revisit knowing now what I didn’t previously. I would recommend going when there is plenty of foliage given our dome window (which overlooks a really cool stream) was facing directly towards the road about 60 yards away. 7/10 overall

Fireflies were an added bonus. Lit up the sky.

We had a very nice stay at the glamping unplugged. It was super clean, very comfortable bed, and a really cool experience, especially at night. I’ve never seen that many fireflies at once and it was beautiful. I appreciated the fire wood, the fire place, and the camping toilet in the tent. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because there were no towels as advertised and there were no instructions on how to use the charging box. We were unable to use the fans because we couldn’t use the charging box, and there were no written instructions on how they wanted us to clean the house after. We swept the floors and took our trash out however since there is no cell service there I didn’t know what the house rules were at the end of the stay. It would have been nice to have some info about the surrounding area as well. There was a food loin close by but we had to drive out of deep gap to get cell reception to see where the closest store was in town. Overall a beautiful location and would stay again.

Unplugged for sure

I did enjoy my stay, but when reading the listing on here it stated 'glamping'. I am a travel agency owner by trade, this is not glamping. If there was running water and electricity, ok.. yes, but no this is not. I did appreciate the No data or wifi, my business has so much social media is was nice to pushed outside of my comfort zone and not have that connection. The river is clean and beautiful, the dome tent was wonderful, the bed was 10/10 absolutely comfortable and loving the sheets!!!! Everything including location was fantastic. Town was a short drive and easy to get to. If it had running water, I would be back in a heartbeat. But it doesn't mean I am not going to mention this place to my clients to enjoy.

Hidden Gem!

This was an awesome experience! The host was very kind and quickly responded to our messages. There are three domes, but it felt very private. It was a much needed getaway and it did not disappoint! We’ll definitely be back!

Reconnecting

My husband and I had the best time celebrating our anniversary here! We always look for unusual places to stay. The property was beautiful especially with the leaves changing! There are some great swimming holes along their portion of river and we can’t wait to come back in the summer to swim. The property is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and tons of hiking trails. The property has that far away feel but you are not far from Boone or Blowing rock. It was relaxing to sit by the fire, hear the river, and actually talk to my husband without our phones going off every 5 minutes. The dome itself has so many thoughtful touches. The bed is sooo comfortable. We loved staying here!

Anniversary getaway

My wife and I spent our anniversary here and it surpassed any and all expectations. The dome is immaculately clean, with a stunning view of the stream below. The property in which the dome is nestled in nothing short of breathtaking. We enjoyed walks along the trail parallel to the water, playing board games by the fire pit, and relaxing inside the comfy bed. On top of it all the property owners were kind and gracious. If you are looking for a serene and private get away look no further. My wife and I our avid travelers and this was one of our most memorable experiences, we will most certainly be back.

Fun getaway

This was labeled as "the best holiday ever" by our kids. It was a perfect hideaway to get away from the busyness of the world. During the day you could entertain yourself with fishing, exploring and hiking and end the evening with seeing almost every star in the sky by the fire pit. We will definitely be back to unplug soon.
