I don't think the heatwave helped, or that we'd already had a long day hiking in the Peak District. The room is lovely - sitting in a beautiful garden, but all of our windows faced onto the terrace - so we couldn't throw them open without sacrificing privacy for us or the diners/drinkers. The room was very stylish - it is one of the lowest and softest beds I've slept it. A couple of niggles - the TV is tiny and basic, and the shower floods the bathroom however you try to avoid that. Also - Iron without an ironing board that we could find.
But the staff were brilliant, it was a very reasonable price and the breakfast was tasty on that lovely terrace. We hadn't realised check out was 10am though!
We will be recommending it to family who often visit Derby
