“Our room with loft was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The lodge has new owners and you can see signs of their improvements already. While there is still improvement and updates that can be done, it could be a grand lodge again. Unfortunately the night we checked in, the power went out about 9 pm and still was not back next day when we checked out. “Great home base for exploring Yoho NP. Quaint atmosphere. Fantastic breakfast included. Great restaurant next door for dinners. Walk to gondola. Kim and Izzy were delightful hosts. Can’t go wrong staying here. Super clean and quiet room.”

“Good value for the money and highly convenient if you're passing through Golden. The hotel is generally well maintained though it's a dated hotel and it does smell like an old hotel. If breakfast matters to you I would probably consider a Holiday Inn Express but if it doesn't I think it's worth a look.”

“Functional not fancy”

“The bathroom had mold all over. There was one tiny bottle of shampoo for 4 people to use which was fine because the bathroom was too dirty to use. There were homeless people partying outside our room until 1am.”
