My family chose to stay here for our daughters first beach trip. We chose it because it was both affordable and provided a beautiful view. Also, we have stayed at the Pelican in the past and been very pleased. This unit was incredibly dissapointing. The view is a 10/10, but the buck stops there. The couch is old, nasty, and lumpier than you would imagine. Like cant sit on it, it hurts type of lumpy. The king bed is horrendous. It is "U" shaped, or cancave if you will, from years of use. Theres literally a dip in the center thats visible with no weight applied. ALSO and most importantly. If you do stay here, be aware that there are NO CURTAINS in the bedroom, only blinds, that only block out approximately 40% of the light from the hallway and hotels surrounding. And the other hotels have LED lights that shine through very brightly, so plan accordingly and bring a sleep mask. I mentioned this to the team while we were there and Avari responded and said they'd be sending a team to install. This never happened, and then they respond with saying that the owner chooses not to go forth eith hanging curtains as there are already blinds provided. Mind you, there are hooks where curtains used to be. This owner is very cheap and must enjoy making tons of miney without investing any in updates or maintenance. All in all the view is beautiful which is why I booked it so I could have coffee on the balcony. Will I ever stay here again? Absolutely not. Did it provide a safe place to stay? Ye
