Pros and Cons

We recently stayed at Holiday Surf & Racquet Club and had a mostly enjoyable experience, but there are a few things future guests should be aware of.Pros:• Great location. It’s close to all the main attractions and restaurants, making it easy to explore town.• Cleanliness. The condo and common areas were very clean and well-maintained.• Nice pool. The pool was a great place to cool off and was also very clean.• Beach chairs and umbrella included. Just keep in mind they aren’t reserved for your specific unit—it’s first come, first serve unless you pay extra to reserve a setup. Don’t waste time standing in line, just get your spot.Cons:• Very small bathrooms. The bathrooms were extremely tight, which made them feel cramped, especially for families.• No washer and dryer in the unit.• Delayed check-in. While check-in is listed as 4 PM, it seems normal for units not to be ready until closer to 5 PM.• Maintenance in the unit during our stay. We came back one day to find maintenance workers inside our condo. They didn’t introduce themselves or apologize—just sat silently while we tried to navigate being in the space we paid a premium to enjoy. Not exactly relaxing or private.• “Updated” listing is a bit misleading. The updates seem cosmetic, as the bathroom still felt old and a bit outdated.We might consider staying here again because of the convenient location and general cleanliness, but the maintenance situation will make us look at other locations nearby.

Great Place

It was perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of room for us. Very pretty place. Loved how fresh the bed sheets were. Plenty of kitchen/bathroom supplies. The ease of getting to the room from the lobby was a huge plus, didn’t need to walk far at all to get to the stairs/elevator. A bigger pool would have been nice, and if there was a hot tub (we knew there wasn’t one when we booked) it would have made the stay even better! But we were there for the ocean, and being my first time in Destin, I don’t think any other water in Florida can compare to how beautiful it really is!

Cozy and comfy

Lovely Long Weekend

Great Location and Comfy Condo

This condo was very clean and comfortable for 4 adults and 2 children. Literally steps from the beach made the trip an ease to have access to the beautiful beach without having to drive to public beach access and search for parking! Beautiful grounds with charcoal grills, tennis courts, a pool and other nice amenities. The checkin process was excellent as Tacara went over and beyond to assist us.

The condo was much smaller than advertised, the tubs didn’t drain well which accumulated sand in the floor of the tub that we was also unable to clean up due to not having a dustpan in the room, so the floor of the tubs, and floor was consistently sandy. The dishwasher wouldn’t dissolve the dishwasher pods which couldn’t use the dishwasher. TV remotes we’re missing the back for the batteries so the batteries was constantly coming out of place. This whole condominium doesn’t have a trash chute so you have to take your trash via stairs or elevator to throw it in the dumpster located in the parking lot. Laundry is not in the room! Located on the fourth floor, takes quarters and card but also has certain hours to do laundry so it isn’t open 24/7. With all that being said, if none of what was mentioned isn’t a concern to you then I would recommend. The condominium did have very exceptional elevator service.

Beauty on the beach

This place is the perfect location with ideal amenities. Loved that it was right on the beach with access to beach chairs. Plus, we enjoyed the amenities like free DVD rentals and free beach toys.

This property was great! Cut, clean, and perfect for my husband and I along with our 2 daughters! Loved the beach amenities and short walk to the beach! We were able to come and go as needed which was great with 2 young girls! Ocean and pool view, which easy access to all of the facilities. Would definitely recommend and return!

Loved the property and location. Had great views of the gulf. Minor flaws inside unit such as dirty exhaust fans in bath and several bathroom items such as shower heads should be upgraded. Overall great experience.

Fabulous first time to Destin!

This condo had everything our family of 5 needed. My girls got to bond and hang out. The decor was well done. The comfort of the bed was like melting into the mattress. I can’t even explain how clean the building is. No lines to anything including the elevator! Beach access awesome! Would love to rent again!
