The condo is in a great community: walking distance to the beach, great pools, pickle-ball courts, 9 hole golf and kept up very nice.The unit itself was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen had plenty of supplies to cook and eat in. Beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again! The only thing I would note is there are 4 flights of stairs to get to the unit so for those with bad knees etc, keep that in consideration.

The condo layout was great for children. It had all we needed for cooking. It is in close proximity to great restaurants & ice cream! The private beach was perfect! The host is super nice. She answered our questions quickly before & during our stay about the area.

The owner of this property was very responsive, which we appreciated. A few important notes from our stay:Pet Policy: While the listing states the home is pet-friendly, it would have been extremely helpful to note that dogs are NOT allowed on Destin beaches. Had we known, we would have left our pup at home.Front Door Lock: The lock did not work properly. I had to record the issue and send it to the owner, who then gave us a backup passcode to access the key. It worked, but was inconvenient to keep track of.Washer/Dryer: We packed light because the listing mentioned a washer/dryer, but the dryer was broken. The owner offered to send a repair tech, but I didn’t want to spend vacation time coordinating repairs. She did later agree to work out a discount.Cleanliness: The property was not very clean upon arrival. Ceiling fans and vents had caked-on dust, and the guest room mirror had visible smudges and handprints. I sent photos to the owner as requested, along with bedding pictures.Furnishings: The couch was not very comfortable, so we avoided spending much time on it.Plumbing: By day 4, the guest bathroom toilet started making a loud squealing noise and ran continuously unless we shut off the water. I shared a video with the owner.We decided to cut our trip short by one day because of these ongoing issues. To the owner’s credit, she did refund us for the unused night and added a little extra for the inconveniences (washer, lock, cleanliness, and toilet issue).

Lacie is a great host, I’ve been going to sandpiper cove for 25 years, I love everything about it. As I’m getting older tho I can climb stairs like I use to, I should’ve know that as many time as I’ve stayed there… love the parking underneath condo, but forgot it was then actually 3 flights instead of two - weather was great, and Lacie has chairs beach towel ect for your stay

Started out great, ended on a sour note

The entire facility was nice, clean, well maintained. The grounds workers did an excellent job, and the golf course was fun. The beach was just right across the street and absolutely beautiful. The actual condo was nice, but had broken blinds, and deck furniture functional but cushions had seen better days. The dryer stopped working, the dial was stripped and become completely inoperable while we were there. I sent a message to the host who left me a voicemail message stating the dial needed to be pushed in to grasp the groove, and she knew the dryer was "ancient". Regardless of her knowledge that the dryer had issues she choose to charge me for "the damages" we caused. So what started out great ended on a sour note unfortunately. I'm sure there are other available condos to rent for in the Sandpiper Cove community. You may want to check them out if you're considering a stay.
