Wonderful Silver Shells in Destin, FL.

Silver Shells condominiums is a gorgeous and exceptionally well maintained property. The pools, grounds, and other amenities are superb. The location couldn't be better with one of our favorite restaurants, The Back Porch, just steps away. St. Marteen #607 is beautifully furnished, spotless, and spacious. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The semi-private elevator is a big convenience. Compass was very easy to work with for reserving and their communications were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Family vacation

Place is good. The only problem I had was public access on beach right next to Resort which I didn't enjoy much because too much crowded.

Great resort

This unit and resort has some wonderful features. The actual unit we reserved had very comfortable mattresses, which we appreciated. Two master suites made the stay very comfy. The kitchen was very well appointed and we had everything we needed for cooking. Our living room was also well done with tasteful, comfortable furnishings. Updated fridge and appliances all worked as expected. The view from the balcony and bedrooms was amazing. We also used the spa and were pleased with the massages. The property has some quirks that we didn’t expect. The third bedroom with twin beds has an exterior entrance/exit, which was not an issue with teens, but might be problematic with small children. It opens to an area that is accessible to trash chutes and a service elevator. The private elevators open with just your key, which is pretty cool. You can leave the doors to your unit open to the nice sized foyer outside the elevator and no one else can access your unit. However, we locked ourselves out and forgot the key. I eve you’re IN that elevator, you can’t return to your room without the key. It’s also tough if you’re traveling with a group and you need to get to and from each other’s rooms. Due to Covid, the tennis courts, gym, and basketball courts are closed, which was disappointing. However, you will be given gym access to a local club should you need it. This info wasn’t available in our vrbo listing, so check first! Lastly, our customer service rep, Breanna, was awesome. She responded so quickly via email to the lockout and other minor issues. She did a wonderful job.

Wonderful Experience!

Great property and everything was better than advertised. It started with the easy check-in process upon arrival to the complex. We were impressed/surprised to see that the elevator opened directly into the room, which was a huge plus and yes, this was a very safe. Our family enjoyed the spacious balcony directly overlooking the beach. The beach, which was gorgeous, was steps from the condo. We are already looking to book the same unit next summer! Can't wait to get back.

Excellent rental

There is always an uncertainty when you rent over the internet. Are the pictures up to date, is the location a good location, is it going to be clean, etc. Well in this case, we got exactly what we had hoped for. It was an AWESOME rental. The furniture, decoration and decor were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stock. Bathrooms and bedrooms had sufficient linens. The entire place was very clean. The semi-private elevator was a nice touch. We spent a lot of time on the large balcony which had ample seating and an excellent view of the ocean. The pool was great. We had a one year old with us and we loved the kiddie pool and the play area. Check-in was a breeze and we actually got into our rental earlier then expected which was nice because we had a very early morning flight. The location was great and seemed to be centrally located. It was also nice having two chairs and umbrella for the week so we did not have to pay for it. The only suggestions would be to have beach towels available. Since we flew, we did not have the room to bring beach towels so we had to go to Walmart to purchase. Also, it would have been nice to have some beach related items/toys (chairs, inflatable floats, toys, etc.). In addition, the air conditioning in the second bedroom (oceanfront) was not working great. I would highly recommend this rental and Destin Beach to anyone traveling to Florida. We hope to be back in the future. Thank you for an excellent experience.

Great Condo on the Gulf!

Very nice unit, clean with all the necessary kitchen utensils. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Great location right on the gulf with a great balcony. We’ve stayed in several units at Silver Shells and this was probably my favorite so far. Can’t wait to come back next year!

beautiful beach

Great place to stay even during COVID19 when some of the amenities were closed. This particular unit has a nice view and great beds. Kitchen could use some larger pans. Overall fantastic.

Corona Vacation

This was a very odd vacation with corona virus just starting to get crazy at the start of our vacation. We spent more time in our condo than expected and this condo was so perfect for that! View of ocean was spectacular and sitting outside enjoying the warm weather on very large, nicely furnished patio was awesome! The beds were so darn comfy, we slept like babies the whole week! This condo was absolutely perfect for my husband and I and our two college boys! We will definitely be back when this corona craziness is done so that we can explore more of what Destin has to offer and will definitely look to stay at this condo or another in Silver Shells again!

Its was very Nice its was our fourth year staying but first time here usually at Shoreline.

It was good, i referred some of my colleagues at Microsoft to stay here dur to liking the property.
