This unit was the perfect location. Amazing view of the harbor/marina, and steps away from a pool, and tennis/pickleball courts. Also very close to the beach. Can’t wait to come back’

Love Destin

This was our first time here, and it was superb. Morning, coffee with the views of the marina and the boats was wonderful! Access to the beach one minute away, spectacular. We will be back.

Nice stay.

Loved sitting on our deck overlooking the harbor and docks while drinking our morning coffee or having snacks with a happy hour in the afternoon. The fenced/gated deck has steps leading down to a grassy area along the water’s edge, which was a great place to walk our dog. The condo has a side kitchen picture window, which is great for watching your older kids swim in the pool, which is right next to the condo (quiet pool). The upscale restaurant (not noisy) on the harbor board walk is next door if wanting a nice dinner out with good view of harbor front. We enjoyed grabbing an easy lunch and drinks at Rick’s Sand Trap snack shop, which is located on the private beach. Reasonable priced food. Condo was clean and had a full kitchen. Our coffee pot leaked the first morning and we had a replacement pot within 2 hours of reporting. We would go back. Safe quiet area close to lots of restaurants.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed at this property in June 2022. Very pleased with the condition of the condo. The decor was nice, linens were great, lots of room to spread out or be together! I enjoyed being by the pool, we could go back and forth to the condo and easily and grab drinks, snacks, books, etc. The absolute best thing about the condo was the deck over looking the harbor. It was amazing- we had many of our meals there and it’s a fabulous place to go in the mornings before the kids wake up! Very peaceful and inviting to have coffee on the deck. The walk to the beach was manageable and on the days we drove across to the beach, we always had free parking. I would rent this condo again in a heartbeat. No problems at all. Our floors were clean, master bath A++, big window in the master overlooking the harbor with nice shutters. Toilet is low in the guest bath … but hey- it got the job done!

Reviewer Comments: This condo is in a great location being on the harbor, next to the restaurant and pool and close to the tennis courts, etc. The owner provided rental chairs for the beach, which was great. The porch was in good condition with nice furniture. The bathrooms were nice, warm and clean. And the air conditioner worked great. The only downfall is the maintenance not being upkept. Examples include: porch light burned out, screen door broken, lamp broken, heat not working in fireplace, dryer taking 2 hours to dry small load of laundry and bed frame being broken. The condo also had dirty floors and dirty furniture.

The condo itself could use some work and attention. As other guests have said, it was NOT clean! The floors were filthy and the guest bathroom was gross! We loved the view of the harbor from the balcony and spent lots of time out there. We also appreciated the beach service!A few suggestions: thoroughly clean between guests, install an adult sized toilet in guest bathroom. Supply some basics like trash can liners. It would have been so nice to have things like salt, paper towels, etc. The little things make guests feel welcome and at home. I probably would not stay here again due to the lack of cleanliness.

Awesome location, great view, beautiful unit!

This unit is located in a quiet gated community, next to a pool, next to an awesome restaurant, across from tennis courts and right on Destin lagoon. Plenty of things to do and see. Private beach access is a very short walk from the front door. The community is very pet friendly with many grassy areas to walk pets. Parking is located directly in front of the condo. Can’t get any closer! The inside of this unit is very tastefully decorated. All the appliances are in great working order. The back balcony has ample seating with tall and short furniture. Dining on the balcony is no problem at all. The steps leading from the balcony down to the water’s edge made it super convenient to walk our dog. The steps have a gate at the top to keep the dog from wandering off on its own when on the balcony. The ONLY disappointment was the condition of the king mattress in the master. It is obviously shot. You can tell by the divots before even pulling back the covers. Everything else was awesome in the unit!! 👍🏼👍🏼 And 5 stars ⭐️

Spring Break in Destin 2016

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been coming to Sandpiper Cove since 1983. Needless to say, I'm hooked on all that you have to offer! We love being on the harbor. I have not been in this unit for 5 or more years. Just a few comments on the unit. I was surprised to see that certain things had not been updated although it was clear other things were definitely new. Wallpaper in master bath needs to be removed or re-glued/does not match the shower curtain. The unit has VERY few wine glasses and they are unmatched. Number of glasses overall could be increased. We needed maintenance help on a few things and they were there within the hour - GREAT service! The crew on the beach for renting chairs, etc is also terrific. If only you could have stopped the rain for the first three days, it would have been another perfect time at Sandpiper Cove. :) Thank you!

great location but not worth the price

Unit location was excellent for families who wanted to stay away from the beach to not track sand, but close enough to the beach to walk there in under 5 minutes. beach service is included with this unit so walking there without having to carry chairs was a plus.The negatives about the unit: the smaller bedroom has some SERIOUS electrical issues. the circuit breaker that supplies power to the outlets and ceiling fan in the smaller bedroom kept popping when the ceiling fan and/or the lamp(s) in the bedroom were used. Maintenance was notified and the breaker was replaced and within 24 hours, with only the ceiling fan on, the new c/b continued to pop. We had to run out and purchase an extension cord so that we could use another outlet to have a light in the room since any use of outlets or the ceiling fan in the room kept popping the circuit breaker.The water pressure in both bathroom showers are also quite weak. If you have long hair, it will take you a LONG time to wash the shampoo out of your hair. The master bathroom has double showerheads in the walk-in shower but we had to use both shower heads at the same time to rinse the shampoo out of our daughter's hair because the water pressure was too weak using just one.Another issue was the amount of ducks that continuously swam in the pool by the restaurant and the amount of duck feces that was allowed to accumulate in the pool. Since the unit overlooks the pool, we watched daily for 5 days as the pool was never cleaned

Sunsets over the harbor were spectacular and just being able to sit out by the water made this condo special.We were concerned that there would be a noise issue being right next to a pool and the restaurant. However, neither were a problem. We could hear people at the pool but perhaps due to the timing of when we were there the pool was rarely full or noisy.The property is described accurately and there were no issues with anything being broken. The toliet in the hall bathroom is bolted to the wall in a very low position. This might be a problem for some guests. Also, there is a small step up to the table that we tripped over a few times - just beware. There was nothing in the kitchen beyond tableware and cooking implements. At some condos we have rented there are thngs such as salt and pepper, sugar, foil etc. Not a problem just plan to bring or buy those things if you want them.The photos are acruate so pay attention. There is only a small round table inside. We often ate outside but we were there at and after Labor Day and the heat was not too bad. All in all it was a great experience and we would definitely rent this unit again. Thank you for sharing this great location with us.

Nice Condo with Some Issues

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are repeat customers at Sandpiper Cove Resort and have actually stayed in Condo #1230 numerous times in the past. We specifically reserve Condo #1230 based on its location with a harbor view and pool and restaurant nearby.However, we had a major issue this time with the poor quality of the master bedroom mattress. It's real thin and sinks down in the middle of your back. You can feel wires inside the mattress with your hands. Besides being a really cheap quality mattress it is way beyond its useful lifetime. I expect a premium quality pillow-top mattress in a condo at this price point.I addressed the mattress issue with Sandpiper Cove rental management the first day there. They contacted the owner who said the mattress is fine and will not be replaced. Unfortunately, the Rental Manager at Sandpiper Cove would not even come over to look at the mattress. So, you've been warned about the poor mattress quality.One other minor issue was the dirty floors. The unit has hard floors throughout and we found our feet would got really dirty when walking around barefoot. Just needs a really good regular mopping!The toilet in the guest bath is very low down. It is not really suitable for adult guests. It is fine for children but very awkward for adults.Unfortunately, I won't reserve this unit again in the future or recommend it to others until I'm given an assurance that the master bedroom mattress has been replaced with a new much upgraded model.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: was so excited after a long seven hour drive to Destin. After checking in at the office we was welcomed with a warm smile and a very nice Lady who was so nice and answered all of questions. When we entered our condo I was very pleased with how nice it was so after putting our clothes away I went to the store and bought the food that we needed when returning and putting my things into the fridge and freezer that is when I discovered that both was not very cold after checking to see if it had been turned down but to my dismay that the settings was turned up and was praying that it would get colder after flipping the breaker but to my dismay it did not so I called for someone come check it out. After doing so he said well let’s see if after keeping it closed it did get a little and to keep my things from spoiling he went and got two coolers with ice and put everything in them and left a couple bottles of water in the freezer. The next morning it was a little cooler than the day before but not cold enough to freeze the water bottles had not froze so we had to make do with the coolers. That was the first thing then I went to put some things in the washing machine and found that it was full of wet towels and the washer was full of mold and I had to clean it before I could use it now other than those things we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back and stay again even in the same condo as long as the firigerator has been replaced.
