“Potato island was absolutely perfect for our family, and we had a fun, relaxing week long stay. The cottage is older..rustic but very clean and had everything needed for prepping food. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and peaceful, and we felt so mentally refreshed. The kids swam every day rain or shine, we went canoeing, read books, sat around the camp fire, played games, and the dogs had a blast running around the island. As an owner of three small dogs, this was a huge stress...

“My wife and I spent 3 relaxing days at this property which was immaculately clean and quiet with a very attentive and personable host (Wendy). The bunkie itself is in excellent shape right on the lake shore and we had full access to all the watercraft and amenities. One of the real highlights was the warm outdoor shower which was a real treat after a day of swimming and kayaking. The bunkie is west-facing so we could enjoy the sunsets every night with a glass of wine. The lake is a bit rocky so...

Had a nice hike to the waterfall, still lovely even though the water wasn’t flowing because of the lack of rain. Spent our evenings in the screened in gazebo listening to the orchestra of frogs and insects. The kitchen was as described, as in had all the essential dishes you need, had a bbq. “Many reviews substantiate that Bedford Lake House is a 5 star property. Check-in, Facilities, Wi-fi, all first class. For our three-generation family of 7 including two young girls of 5 and 7 what made our stay so special. First, the view from the cottage over Devil Lake, the sunsets were amazing. Second, the flower and vegetable garden - where are young girls filled their buckets every day with ripe tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, peppers, beans, herbs, strawberries, beets .. the list goes on....

The loft has quite low ceilings and the bathroom in the loft has no privacy but otherwise the property was fantastic. The BBQ, AC and wifi worked well. Scott was easy to communicate with. “Online information false/misleading and the property is completely unsuitable for anyone with even minor mobility issues. I was booked for two nights but left after one and went to a motel. - notwithstanding what the website advertises, this cabin does NOT have a bathroom. A bathroom is available in the main house, 50 or so meters away. It is not separate from the host's living space (i.e. not private).
