“Check-in was a bit of a challenge. We didn’t realise it closes at 7pm on a Friday night (website and Expedia both day reception open until 9:30pm). Property Manager made allowances and waited for us until 8:15om. Great spa, much larger than expected. Would stay again and make sure if arriving after 7pm we get in contact.”

“Over all a clean and tidy place. Bed was way too soft and woke up with a sore back. Cutlery was a mismatch from a charity shop. Rung for a create for the room and was quoted $25 more than the web site i booked through. Central to eateries and the plaza. With supermarkets very close. ”

“This place does exactly what it says on the tin, it's a very bach-y batch, where you can disconnect from the world and reconnect with your whanau. No TV, no WiFi, just a place to chill, play games, read a book and warm yourself by the fire. It's not the fanciest, and would be quite a squeeze if you filled all the beds, but great for a family. Could probably do with a dining table inside the house, but the breakfast bar is fine for up to four people.”

“The house was great, we stayed so my husband and brother in law could do the Tongariro Crossing. We all stayed including the kids and there was plenty of room and had everything we needed. John was great allowing a super late checkout for us also. The housr was clean and tidy. Perfect property for our stay and family numbers. Would highly recommend this property ”

“Just go to single room was nice and tidy comfortable, but you had to fill the jug in the bathroom sink. Base channels on TV couldn’t cast my phone to the TV to watch Netflix or anything. Apart from that really nice and polite place was tidy and clean. I’d stay there again.”

“We had a group of 12 people doing an Alpine Skills course. It was ideal for our group with a good sized living area and it was warm & comfortable with the fire going.”

“We enjoyed our short visit in this cozy little house. It is obvious that it is owned and loved by someone, not just a rental property. Lots of nice personal touches throughout. We weren’t there for very long but had everything we needed. Lovely place. ”

Okay for one or two nights

"The location of the hotel is awesom but the hotel needs an update urgently. Wd had one of the more exensive rooms but the toilet was leaking, the fridge didn't work properly, we could hear the neighbours talking and snoring and the noise from the terrace lasted untill 10 pm. But the views on the vulcanoes are spectacular and the staff is serviceminded and friendly."
