“We had a brilliant stay at the Hygge, it is tucked in the corner surrounded by open countryside, just beautiful. The quietness was appreciated and lovely. The Hygge itself was spot on, well maintained and very clean. We found it to be a very comfortable and practical place to stay. We could have easily spent longer there and look forward to returning ”

Lovely little extras like wine, tea, coffee and bread which we really appreciated. Just a little remote and far from the coast for us, especially in poor weather. Try the Running Fox at the Plough in Powburn. Excellent food. ”

“Although parking is tricky the facilities at the cottage were fine. It's right opposite two pubs which didn't cause any disruption. On the whole a good place to stay, it's about one minute from the sea.”

“Fabulous house in a lovely location, it was perfect for long walks . The house is very roomy with fab decor. Close to a lovely restaurant we we popped in gor drinks and food a few times over the weekend. Will definitely return in the sumner months.”

“We had a very relaxing 4 day break in this beautiful stone cottage, a mile off the main road near Hadrians Wall, on a farm that practices environmental care and organic stewardship under the Green Tourism Business scheme. The cottage was very clean and very comfortable with a new shaker modern style kitchen, so very easy to make a simple meal. The bed was super comfortable in a roomy upstairs bedroom. Valerie the host is a warm and helpful host who welcomed us upon arrival to ensure we were...

“Had the pleasure of spending a couple of nights here with my partner and 3 daughters. A great place to get away and spend some quality time. It feels very remote but at the same time is close enough to drive or jump the train into Newcastle for the day. It was great sitting around the firepit in the evening after a soak in the hot tub! Plenty here for the whole family we would definitely stay again. ”

Langley Castle Hotel

10/10 Fantastiskt

"Everything about Langley Castle was excellent. The room was grand and spacious, with a view of the castle. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent as well, and as a guest at the hotel you get the chance to go on the complimentary Battlement guided tour. It's well worth a stay and I'll definitely come back some day. "
