“Everything about our stay was perfect! Our apartment, number 2, was clearly recently decorated and spotlessly clean. Our hosts, Jason and Mark, had thought of everything that a guest might require. They had even considered little details like having a fluffy hot water bottle in the bedroom drawer, or leaving us a bag of ice and pint of milk in the fridge/freezer. The welcome note and treats left for us were particularly thoughtful, as were the messages checking to see if we needed anything....

“The property has picture windows overlooking the bay - stunning views. The house was clean overall, comfortable and well equipped. Although there is a lack of shaver point which I use to charge my electric toothbrush. I had to buy a manual toothbrush. The rugs in hall, lounge and kitchen are unnecessary as the floors are tiled/parky flooring. These rugs could do with a clean as could the settees. Apart from that it was an enjoyable stay with easy parking at the bottom of the hill and a good 10...

“Wonderful in-city location, walkable to shops, pubs, electric train, and other transport. Home was well appointed, fantastic ‘user notebook’ informative for all features of the home. Parking was tight but managers gave easy alternatives. Highly recommend for a stay.”

“After 29 visits to the iom this is a 1st staying in a rented property after being let down by a hotel. We'll definitely be using this type of accommodation again. Only sorry we didnt discover it years ago. ”

“Lovely property set over 3 floors with all mod cons and full bathrooms on each floor. Has great entertaining space outside wuth hot tub, bbq, fire pit, seating areas both covered and uncovered. Would definately stay again. We stayed for a relaxing stress free night chill out night before my daughter's wedding. We were all impressed by facilties, and our host Tim. Who welcomed us warmly and took us through the house and facilities. ”

“Ballaloaghtan is perfectly located 30 mins from Douglas but within easy reach of a village shop..5 mins, a fine dining restaurant….10 mins and beautiful walks from the barn. We had a mix of weather but we did get to enjoy a walk up to South Barrule, a cycle ride around some of the TT circuit and a visit to Laxey on the Electric railway. It was always a pleasure returning to the house where we could cook, eat and relax together after our busy days. We will be returning 🙂”

“Very overpriced. We were traveling with a group of 7 so we booked 2 exact apartments in the same building. Vrbo charged me more than our friends paid. They booked through Expedia. I will never use Vrbo again. The owner then charged me more money when we arrived, after the final online payment was made. He stated we didn’t pay for enough people, The apt sleep 7 we had 3 ppl in ours. Explain that? Pictures online were from another much nicer location (catfished). Very unclean. Cheap furniture...

“Ideal holiday accommodation for family with satisfying facilities. The seaside view of dinning and living room are wonderful. All rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is also perfect if you just want to stavocation in the South of the Isle of Man. The broadband speed is the only frustrating thing for me since it's not fast and stable. The local bus service is good but it may take a longer time to wait for steam train if you plan to travel o the North within a day. ”

“We had a wonderful stay in lodge 1. The owner was friendly and helpful. The lodge was beautiful and had all we needed. We didn’t have a car but had friends who picked up up each day we went out. You would need access to transport. We would happily stay again! ”
