“This was an amazing cottage. The two large double bedrooms have en suites which was really useful. The bathrooms are lovely and modern whilst the rest of the property maintains its historical charm. “A lot smaller than the photos led you to believe. The cottage is just at the left hand side of the white building in the picture and is not much wider than the first floor window. That being said the cottage is finished to a very high standard inside and the owners who live next door are very friendly and accommodating. The cottage is quite isolated and the walks from the door are not very well maintained so are very muddy. We actually gave up after half an hour and came back.”

“This was our first visit to the Forest of Bowland area and it was definitely worth it. The Old Dairy is set next to a meadowvwith trees in the distance and the farm next to it. "One night stay travelling from north to south. This once Grand Dame of a hotel still has her charm, and her good looks, though withered and faded. Yes, the building is old and withered and crumbling, but still. Amazing value for money, great breakfast. Bathroom a waterdamage about to happen and teaspoons not dished. Otherwise ok clean."
