“Stayed at Wilga Farm Stay for 2 nights as I was working in Collie. Wasn't sure what to expect to be honest as in a year of travelling WA almost every week, I had never considered a Farm Stay. Would have to say that it was simply amazing. I met one of the owners (Brett) and was made to feel welcome. The Cockatoo Cottage was fantastic. View from the porch was amazing. “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming home set among the trees. From the nostalgic creak of the front screen door to the beautifully rustic wooden interiors and comfy furnishings, we were enamoured from the moment we arrived. I was in bird nerd heaven, listening to and observing a whole range of feathered friends from the deck every moment I could - a little red-eared firetail came up close and said hello at least once each day, which was delightful. Another highlight was the afternoon...

“Overall we were happy with the stay. The house was isolated and in a beautiful spot with the river and valleys. Breathaking views that I will miss. The house is as just listed, not the cleanest or neatest. Main issue is the red dirt road 4-5km to get to the property. Thankfully it was raining the last few days otherwise your car's back windscreen will be covered. If that is not an issue I would recommend this place to you. ”

“The cottage was well separated from the other cottages. The amenities were well appointed with cooking utensils, pots, pans and washing up liquid and drying towels. Everything required was there. There was a good selection of DVDs. The cottages were located amongst the trees on top of a hill overlooking the town of Balingup. a very picturesque setting.”

“The property had everything we were after other than a fireplace but the heating from the large air conditioner was excellent and the under floor heating in the bathroom was really good as it was cold and wet when we visited. The hosts were amazing and stopped and chatted and told us about the property and places to see, we could have our little dog with us, had a fabulous weekend getaway and the views were breathtaking. Thanks Tracey and Michael. ”

“We went away for a weekend to celebrate my parent’s 50th anniversary. The house is simply stunning! So light and airy and beautifully furnished. And the view - surrounded by trees and birds and friendly magpies. Sitting out on the balcony was bliss. Rob looked after us very well and we all enjoyed feeding the cows.
