“So we got room 12 and 13 for the first night. A Thursday. The first night was terrible due to the pubs outside and the trash emptying of glass bottles in the early morning. Since we were in CAnberra for business and would stay Another Three nights we brought this up with Natalie in the reception the next morning. “It's always a pleasure to enter the cosy reception area on a cold Canberra day. I was given an apartment with a fold out bed first. Felt like I would be in camping and not in a hotel. Called the reception and verbalised my concern. I got a wonderful upgrade without hesitation. Stay was wonderful. Didn't get the welcome drinks that were advertised but forgot about to ask for it....Had a very pleasant stay ”

“Expectations were poorly set. This is an upmarket, self-contained, ground-floor, separate-entrance apartment in a quality new family home. Early and late, children running and screaming overhead and outside can be heard. While it was no great bother, it reminded me of home; guests should be forewarned.”

“All positive experiences during our stay! Check-in/out using the lockbox was easy. The apartment which is below the house is private (although the above floor ‘creaks’ at times with movement upstairs!). The property backs onto an idyllic vista of lake views; it was very peaceful to sit out back & observe nature, including a variety of birds. “Our stay in this unique art house was good. We loved what the owner is trying to do with the decor. It is unusual and quirky but the beds were comfortable and as we were at the folk festival that was important.The shower was tricky as a lot of water ended up on the floor through the shower curtain and the fact that the shower floor is higher than the surrounding floor! Terrifying for the elders in our group! ”

“We were actually out and about a lot, so we were really only here to sleep, but it was a really cute space. It was very secluded and surrounded by nature. We stayed during late fall, so it got a bit chilly at night, and I wish I had packed an extra layer. The throw blanket on the couch and the heated blankets on the bed were very much appreciated!”
