“We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, which had everything a family could need for brief stops inbetween visiting the surrounding area (including a baby chair and a crib available on request). The only thing was that a radiator made some strange noises now and then (even when switched off).”

“We had spotted this cottage on previous walks on visits to the area and wanted to try it. Very well appointed and comfortable cottage in a lovely area. We will definitely come again. One minor suggestion would be that property gets a larger frying pan as the one provided is quite small (or you could take one along with you!) ”

“Thank you again for providing such a fantastic base for our holiday. Curlew Cottage was equipped with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the en-suite was a bonus. The location was stunning with a wonderful view to enjoy from the lovely garden. Betty the Cockapoo had a great time, getting to know the other animals, though I think she might have been disappointed that Jack, the sheep, wouldn't chase her. She enjoyed meeting them all. We definitely plan to return hopefully...

“Receptionist rudeness -unpleasant jokes. The apartment look lake it haven’t been cleaned. We had to wait 2 hours before we have been offered an other apartment. ”

“Lovely clean property, the children really enjoyed the games. We were very pleased with the little extras that the owners have available like tea & coffee. 40 mins from Alton Towers was very handy with a Tesco enroute so we could get any bits we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in the future when in the area. ”

“We were really happy with our stay. The accommodation was very spacious - perfect for our family. Everything was nice and clean. Plenty of parking outside and it is located close to shops and places to eat. Great communication from the owner. Would definitely recommend and stay there again when we are up North!”

“Het verblijf was zeer aangenaam! Het huisje was schoon, van alle gemakken voorzien en een fijn plek om ‘thuis’ te komen na een lange dag in een schitterende omgeving. De meer dan vriendelijke host (Inez) kwam met een hele lijst aan activiteiten en in het huisje is er veel documentatie te vinden over de omgeving. Een aanrader, wij hebben er een leuke tijd gehad!”

“We absolutely loved this accommodation, comfortable, peaceful and perfectly located for a trip to The Peak District The host Nicky was extremely helpful The dogs were an added bonus and a delight ”

“Needs work. Kitchen is FREEZING. Strip lighting in a house is a no-no for me, but there they were in the kitchen and main bedroom. The opposite of cosy/comfortable. No blinds on the velux windows in main bedroom means bright light pouring in from 5am. We're on holiday!The lighting all-round was sub-par. One tiny lamp in living area so 6 VERY bright spot lights are the only option. It's just not relaxing. These were our main gripes.Beds comfy, linen nice, sofa nice, kitchen well equipped. Loved...

“I live near Southampton and run a company based near Stoke and this is my favourite perch; the kitchen lets me eat normally as I tend to keep strange hours. Just right size and facilities for me. Could just as well be a perch for a countryside break. Highly recommended ”

“A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location. Very well equipped and lots of extras provided. The bed is super comfortable and big ! Top quality amenities. We had a lovely stay.”

“We booked the cottage for a week's stay whike work was being done on our home. It was a real home from home too. Everything's there, including electric blankets to warm the beds. Although thd heating kept the cottage toasty, we turned most off except living room and bathroom. Loved the log burner too, a real focal point. Internet provided was good, a bonus as the phone signal there is poor, as is most of the local area due to hills etc. Would certainly recommend.”

"Ett hotell med trevliga rum, bra frukost och centralt beläget. Att en fläkt lät konstant utanför fönstret och att ett trasigt värdeskåp inte lagades trots flera påminnelser drar dock ned betyget."
