“We arrived and were personally greeted by Steve. I’ve been too many accommodations in my life and I have never had a host like Steve. He was absolutely superb. We originally planned to stay for two nights and because of the.Bonhomie of the place we stayed a total of six days and five nights. We would have stayed all the way to the end of our trip. This was an unexpected find and you have a really open mind. I highly recommended to book this place. Just remember, it’s not the faint heart. ”

“Big and spacious apartment. Very clean and well equipped with the added benefit of a spacious balcony. Only stayed one night but would be more than happy to spend a week here”

“Four of us (adults) stayed for a long weekend. The weather was rubbish so stayed a large part of that indoors playing games. The lounge was warm and spacious so it suited us just fine. The place sleeps nine which meant one of the bedrooms, i felt, was a bit cluttered with beds and hard to get around. Overall very happy and would stay again”

“Seriously amazing place such a hidden gem we enjoyed our stay so much we will definitely be back in the summer the locals are so lovely the history of the house is wonderful to look at such a beautiful whanau thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us the kids loved it we all did ”

Thankfully a washing machine and somewhere to dry clothes after several days on the road.It also an easy stroll to the main Richmond shops with some great cafes, restaurants and other shops. “Our 3rd stay at Bellbird! The perfect location, a gorgeous wee forest walk from the lake. Comfy bed, lovely warm fire with alternate heating means. The wifi has improved greatly and we even enjoyed some netflix. Roomy, we wanted for nothing. ”

“Thank you so much for a wonderful house to stay during our very rainy adventure to Collingwood. The fire was so warm, plenty of heaters and the BBQ was fab. A lovely homely and cosy place right next to the beach. We would for sure return. Thank you ”
