“Fantastiskt boende. Vi hade en balkong och en egen gräsyta med sittplatser på båda. Öppen spis. Fantastisk utsikt mot Meteora. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Dock svårt att hitta till hotellet när vi åkte på GPS så stämde inte adressen alls. Hotellet ligger efter en brant grusväg. Väljer detta hotellet igen. ”

“This is a new property in Kastraki, which is a 15 min walk or 5 euro taxi ride from the town of Kalambaka. Kastraki is a small, quaint village at the foot of the monasteries in Meteora. There is a lovely family run restaurant just at the end of the road, and a bakery across the street. The rooms themselves are well designed, modern and comfortable. For a fee, ask about late check out. It’s very much worth it given the transportation options out of Kalambaka. I’d definitely come back again!”

The house indeed had a majestic view, with even an attached sun room/lounge near the entrance where we could sit and watch the sun rise over the rock formations. Nikolaus was also a wonderful and helpful host. He only spoke Greek and we only spoke English - but all was well with Google Translate. We would definitely recommend this to a group of friends or family!”

“This home is exactly as pictured. It is charming and check-in was a breeze. The location was great. Very close to the hiking/walking path to start out hiking trek to the monasteries. This home is well lit up, at night and easy to find. We hope to return someday and I'll definitely try to stay at The Rock and Stone home, again!”

“Beautiful whole house. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Only problem is finding it. Like everywhere in Greece we found no street signs and no house numbers. Make sure you have a photo of this house. ”

“Very nice house. Clean, spacious, well equipped. Close to all Meteora monasteries. There several hikes that can be taken right from the house. It’s close to the center of the town, you can easily walk to many restaurants and shops. Great view from the front balcony. We enjoyed our vacation and would love to visit again!”

“Electric range and washer were out of order. There was no microwave either. It was too inconvenient to cook only with a coffee pot. The owner asked me to turn on only one circuit breaker between kitchen one and bathroom one when we need. We had to keep both circuit breakers turned off while we do not use them upon his request.”
