“This resort has yurts and domes as well as rooms in the lodge. The yurts and domes do not have their own baths. The lodge rooms where we were did. The room had a double bed and a single. The double was quite comfortable, the single not so much. Our room was on the bottom floor. There was a restaurant attached and the option to have a package with breakfast and dinner. Though we didn't have the package we did eat a breakfast and a couple of dinners. The food was excellent. They have music...

“This is a unique stay on the world famous Cabot Trail. It is a one room cabin, like a treehouse over looking St Anns Bay. The washroom facilities are a short walk down hill the facilities. It is not for everybody. It definitely worked for us! We spent 5 nights of relaxing after the beautiful drives we took on the Cabot Trail. The bed was great and having a coffee on the front deck was a great way to start the day. Thank you to the hosts! Cheers @EddieMac75 ”

“The cottage was a silent peaceful spectacular and wonderous pleasure. The views will instantly soothed a sole. The cottage is cute simple but adorable. Comfortable and cozy. With views from every window stunning. At night the stars shone so bright it was mesmerizing. Day by day night by night the channel marker off the coast sounded like a mournful whale. It became a calming feature you wanted and got very use to. Now being away from it,it is really missed. The mezmerizing sound is in the past....

“The location was beautiful and well cared for. It is a true family run business with the feeling of the passion and love of the owners in all aspects. My brother and I enjoyed our stay and met the owners *who gave me a ride back up the hill when I forgot my keys! I would recommend to anyone looking for a Cabot Trail basecamp! ”

“Cozy cabin in the woods, our dog didn’t want to leave. The bed was a double but we slept better in it than we did with some queen beds. The cabin can get warm for summer but we were able to create a good cross breeze by opening both windows and using the fan provided. It is a beautiful glamping experience. The compost toilet was the biggest adjustment for us. The ferry nearby can be a little noisy if sitting outside but hardly ever noticed it in the cabin. Unfortunately the trails and sauna were...

“We wish we could live at Rita’s retreat all the time! Our room was nice and cozy. The backyard is so spacious and peaceful all the way down to the water. The indoor saltwater pool was icing on the cake! Mike was very accommodating, helpful and fun to talk to— I recommend Rita’s Retreat!”

“Beautiful view of the sunset and close to skyline trail (30mins)Clean rooms and spacious with several utensils. 3 beds could be a bit more bigger for adults but we were 4 adults 2 kids so did not have any concerns. Location was close to gas and grocery. ”

"Good location but extemely noisy rooms. Paper thin walls and door. The hotel was not fullt booked and we asked for a quiet room but we were still placed in between other visitors. Otherwise good. We would recommend this motel for all visitors that are not sound sensitive."
