We stayed here over a long weekend for our niece's wedding. This is a great quiet place surrounded by a beautiful property and nature. The location is wonderful and the drive to downtown Detroit is only appx. 1/2 hour. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.

We enjoyed the place . Nice scenic backyard . Comfortable inside. Only 15-20 mins from downtown Detroit. We came to see the Tigers play and visit the Henry Ford Museum. Had great communication with the owners .We will return again!

This was the nicest rental we have ever stayed at! Wonderful seemless communication, AMAZING mid-century ecclectic decor-so comfy and cozy! FULLY stocked! Loved the gas fireplace and outside firepit. So relaxing that we decided to just spend a day on site hanging out and watching wildlife. Our only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer!

The hosts were very easy to communicate with and made a point of introducing us to them, and they almost seemed like family. The property was very quiet and secluded, almost like we had no neighbors. The house came equipped with everything we needed and was in great repair. We would definitely recommend staying at this property. The property was very well located and it was easy to get to Detroit, Dearborn, Royal Oak, etc and there was plenty of convenient shopping nearby.

This home is very much a sanctuary, as the listing states. And it’s charming and warm and inviting. Very comfortable bed. Deer and wild turkeys and other wildlife in plain view from the picture window. Check-in was very welcoming: an unlocked front door and a handwritten note. This was an idyllic place to spend a few days in and near Detroit. Loved it! I can’t imagine anywhere else I’d rather have stayed.

It was super peaceful! We loved having a home to stay in for our combined personal and business trip. It was only a couple minutes away from the Southfield business center, and a good middle distance from family and friends all over the metro area. We used the games in the shed and relaxed in the shade under the trees. The beds were comfortable for our middle aged bodies and this was literally the most well-stocked rental we've ever stayed in. We barbecued one day and we didn't have to buy a single condiment - they were all there in the fridge (and not expired). The owners live next store and they were easily accessible, if we had had any issues or questions. We'd be happy to stay there again!

Comfortable home not far from Detroit.

We stayed here to experience the NFL Draft in Detroit. The location was perfect and was settled into a quiet neighborhood. Everything we needed was available to make the place a comfortable stay.

Who would’ve guessed you could have a stay in a wooded area in metro Detroit where we saw a deer, an owl, and turkeys in our yard.

Wonderful home for a family!

We really loved our stay at your home! It was so clean and cozy! We especially loved seeing the deer in the yard every morning. Hopefully we will be able to make this an annual trip!

Great hosts, lovely property

We stayed for 2 weeks in the peaceful surroundings at the Sanctuary Inn. The house is well equipped with everything we needed for cooking, laundry, entertainment and comfort. This was our 3 time staying at the property and we will be back again.
