The room was in another building than the advertised at the pictures, in a back alley and basically in a construction site, with scaffolding outside the windows. In the actual room there was an intense peculiar and unpleasant smell, making it really hard to sleep. In addition to this, the door to the bathroom was broken and didn't close. All in all, we would have been better of sleeping in the car.”

“This is primarily an assisted living facility. The entrance was locked before we arrived and it was necessary to call security to let us in. No one spoke English. Breakfast was available for the residents but not for the guests as was dinner. There were no local restaurants except for a pizza takeout across the street. The property itself is beautiful and clean, and well located just a few minutes' walk from the medieval city, where there are many good restaurants. “This hotel was rated highly and priced as though it was a high end property - it is not. It is an ancient chateau remodeled into a 1970s motel with amateur carpentry. Upon arrival the manager attempted to upsell us on-site breakfast and booking a dinner reservation through her website instead of showing us to our room. Our room was surprising, as it was not attractive or comfortable. There was a giant space heater to be plugged in because the proprietor turns off the heat at night - in December!...
