This ”little detour” was half an hour on serpentine roads through a mostly uninhabited Italian landscape, and the inhabitated parts looking a little like the rural parts of Alabama. The staff was very friendly and professional, always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, even arranging an early check-in. Breakfast was lovely, with the staff personally attending to each guest to ensure the best experience. ”
