Everything about Yalbury Cottage is fantastic… the setting, the people, the food (both dinner and breakfast). Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Excellent hotel and restaurant
Cannot fault any aspect of our stay. Really nice hotel, restaurant is excellent and well worth a visit. The service there was perfect, the small team there could not do enough to help.

I only used the room, and did not try the food. So this review is just that. Unfortunately the room I was in was downstairs, and could very clearly hear all the footsteps and movements on the floor above. The room had a very strange smell, and it just a feeling of not being very well cleaned or cared for. The blind was filled with dead bug marks for example. I would not stay there again, and found the parking quite difficult as there were limited spots, all taken.

Nice family stay
We spent a lovely night at Yalbury cottage in early March. The food is fantastic. We sat in a beautiful and cozy dining room with our kids. The inn is simple and quiet. While next to a road, hardly a car passes. Lovely place and very competitive prices.

A hidden Gem in the countryside
A beautiful cottage set in idyllic surroundings- lovely gardens and generous hosts, went out of their way to make you welcome. Wonderful One night stay, but would loved to have stayed longer.

Very remote area. One needs to be driving. An awkward detail, in the bathroom there were no soap or bath towels available. Both were charged at an extra fee. A bit disappointing. Overall it is a very pleasant place to sleep.

Perfect Dorset cottage B&B.
Delightful cottage bed and breakfast with beautiful garden to have breakfast in. Amazing chef. The food is fabulous. Highly recommend.

Wow factor start to finish
What an awesome find ! As good as anywhere I have ever stayed beautiful building fabulously comfortable and so relaxing. So much effort must go into delivering such exceptional customer service. Rooms are large well stocked ( brownie tasters left with coffee were unreal - thanks apprentice Ben!) warm and comfortable. Food here really deserves to be enjoyed at length as I struggle to think when I have tasted food prepared so well with an imaginative twist on the menu - first class! Breakfast I was told would set me up for the day don’t believe it I’m still full now incredible! Sincere thanks to all involved at Yalbury Cottage it was a privilege to stay somewhere with great staff who are attentive friendly and welcoming.

Welcome: We had a lovely welcome from the owners and our bags were whisked away to our room. Food: Amazing! Breakfast and dinner were delicious with great portion sizes. Room: lovely English cottage style. Cleanliness: Very disappointed with the room but communal areas were good. Very dusty and the bathroom needed a good scrub. I had to wash the Drinking Glasses before we could use them.
